Answer is cut the metal not limiting uptravel and body lift

Yes exactly. I cut the metal in the rear as far as I was willing to go (1-5-2” into the quarter panel). I think the more important reason is just setting the bumpstop height in accordance to the length of your shock. If you have a longer shock you’ll likely need a bumpstop extension so you don’t blow them out

Why not just keep cutting another 1/2” to avoid the body lift altogether?

I pretty much cut it as far as I’m willing to go. If you DM me on Instagram I can send you a pic and it’s easier to show you but I cut it right up to the door edge. If I go any farther I think it would start falling apart with the method I used haha

Also I ended up deciding to buy a 1” bodylift instead in case 1/2” isn’t enough!

@@SnowboundCustoms have you put the body lift on yet? If so how'd you end up dealing with the gap on the bumpers and sliders? I wanna get a 1in body lift too but I already have all my armor for no body lift lol

@@tanneremery4134 yes I did actually. Since I have a front tube bumper that already sat a bit above the bottom of the flares, the front bumper looks just fine. I just installed a rear bumper meant to accommodate for the 1” bodylift and I have taken off the sliders to move them up an inch

@@SnowboundCustoms cool I have the same front bumper so that's good to hear. I was hoping there's another solution for the sliders since mine are welded on 😂 did the body lift solve all the rubbing issues?
