One question, did you use the old fender flare seal? or did you fit a new one when you fitted the fender flare back? Thanks.

We used the old one. As the car was nearly new it still had "stick"

Excellent video. Considering that it is a genuine Suzuki accessory, does it officially increase the rated wading depth of the Jimny?

There are many other factors affecting the wading depth including transmission breathers, ECU/electronics location, sealing of the bulkhead, disabling of fans, rubbish door seals. So it only contributes as part of a series of other modifications

I reduced a lot of the noise by removing the little grill, sticking some double sided tape to the inside of it and putting it back on the car

Thanks for your incredibly helpful and interesting Jimny JB74 videos. I hope though that you will spend more time showing the finished product and chuck the fish eye lens which distorts the look and appreciation of the mod.

Thanks! The snorkel does look sexy. Though I am concerned about its rated wading capability as I just saw a video of a new Defender sporting an official Def snorkel where the 4x4 tech said the manufacturer does not actually guarantee its wading capability (wading depth remains the same)--just that it guarantees cleaner, dust-free air. You might like to watch the video. They tested the new Defender up a muddy, slippery and steep mountain and the new Jimny out-climbed the Defender. I worry about the snorkel because it looks similar to the Defender's and I wonder if these factory snorkels are more for dust than adding additional protection against water ingress into the filter box and the engine.

@@joyceano5354 The snorkle is amongst the best I have seen. Well sealed with a specific one way drain included. Of course, a snorkel is only one part of any system which is why the manufacturer tends to say that the wading depth doesnt change, you have to put in axle and transmission breathers and protect elements such as the ECU.

Where can we get the full workshop manual for the jb74? I've been looking everywhere for one. I've just bought one and have to wait till March till delivery. I'd like to familiarise myself till then as I plan to do all the modding myself. Also you channel is amazing, love your work.

I cannot work out where you live. If its in the EU then the EU workshop manual is either available online via a subscription service or purchasable as a DVD from Suzuki. Note that officially the DVD is restricted to trade purchasers only but some dealers will overlook that.

@@bigjimny I'm down under. I might have to contact my local dealer and see what I can get, I've purchased mine via a leasing company so I haven't actually been to the dealer (other then a test drive) Either that, I might need to get chummy with my local Suzuki mechanic.

How much are these genuine Suzuki Snorkels? Are you selling them in your store?

I imported a few but it was too much trouble to do more. They were around £700 after all import fees and taxes and postage to the buyer
