Hi, Thanks for watching. It's from a place called Autoplus in Stockton on Tees. 316 Norton Rd. Cheaper than other places, and loads of different lengths

hi, wondering if you managed to find a solution to getting it trapped in the sliding door? I have done exactly the same as you on my master but cant shut the door without trapping the awning. I don't really want to move the rail to the roof but that's all I can see to solve the problem.

lol fair enough, there is too much hanging on mine to even contemplate that :) on the plus side, the new awning rail stops the rain dripping in! @@foxystravels

You door will open and close no bother if you use the figure of eight connection on your awning . As that will take the awning away from your door 👍

Sorry. After reading my comment how I worded it was a bit bullish. Sorry for that What I meant by putting awning rail further back. Further back on the roof. So that overhang didn't get caught in the door. I used sikaflex 522 on my rail. Didn't use any screws. It's extremely strong. In fact sika say impossible to remove without mechanical tools Multitool /chisel etc

No worries. I'm trying to do everything on a budget. I know it's a caravan awning, but I already had it from when I had the caravan, which I sold to buy the van :)

Number 1. you're using a caravan awning on a Motorhome. Not designed for it Number 2. you should have fixed awning rail further back so it didn't get trapped in door. Number 3 A proper Campervan awning is made wide enough for door to open fully
