Fitting Evernew Titanium burner into Trangia Stoves

A viewers request to see what it would take to fit the Evernew Titanium burner to a classic trangia I make an adapter ring then test the performance of the burner. The Evernew boiled 500ml of cold water in 11.5 minutes and 30ml of fuel lasted 14 minutes. The Trangia burner did it in 9 minutes and ran out of fuel in 13 minutes a slight breeze came up during the trangia boil test probably speeding that test up

Another video shows it fits and is even slightly big. I wonder if the Trangia hole varies, or does the Evernew vary? He measured his Trangia hole to be 70.9mm, but said the Evernew would not fall through.

I can only go on my three Trangia and the one burner and mine fits through all of the bases, one of the ultra light guys used to make a wire adapter to prevent the Evernew burner falling through the trangia base

Nice video. There are probably better ways to save 50g if you have been using a Trangia 27.

I love alcohol stoves but the amount of fuel needed due to the low energy content means for longer trips they are never light weight regards Mike
