Fitting New JR Alloys to the Fiesta ST

Fitting the new Japan Racing Alloys to the fiesta! Had a few small fitment issues which needed changing but they all fit great after some adjustments.

Take of the centre bit and get a sticker with the Ford logo done and spray clear over it... It'll make the car look OEM+. And that little detail makes a surprising difference on the wheels. Or see if you can get a black and silver gel badge for the centre cap on the wheel.

Those wheels look sick and with those tyres being streched onto the rims the 205/45 are the limit and i have done a mechanics course and just to let people know streching normal tyres onto rimsis not recommend and the more they are streched the more unsafe they are as it is due to how the tyres are designed and made and if you want to know how it behaves grab a single stapleand bend the 2 prongs outwards

Heya, just commented on Facebook. Wheels are nice and with me having a Black ST, can see it's progression on my channel, I can see how these would look. I want 16inch wheels but was wondering if they do a smaller width so it's like standard width wise? Think it's 7inch wide? So for the ET you mentioned what is standard ET and how does the number work in relation to know how much it sticks out. Thanks Andy

Oh forgot to say I was wanting the hyper black, what you recon going for hyper black compared to the Matt black for that all black look? Just don't want Matt. So did wonder if I should do what you did and ask them if they would send me different colours so I could get them powdercoated gloss black? Hmmm

Think they do slimmer alloys. Have a look online mate. I wanted these with the specs as really wanted to fill the arches 👍

@@Jmncarter found on their website they do them in Hyper Grey which I think would look mean and still a bit stealthy on an All Black ST. Seen they do 16x7 which means standard width, tick. Then 4x108, is that right? Lastly how does the offset work when buying? I would love the fronts to be 10/12mm wider than standard and 15-20mm on the rears. Guessing could do that? Two different offsets for front and rear

I preferred your old wheels but I reckon you need a smaller profile tyre on the new ones and they will look better.... that’s my opinion of course

You should try to use plasti dip and try to spray on the eyebrows on the car ... If you dont like it you can still take it off ..

If your talking about the previous wheels they are stated to be matte bronze 👍

Maybe your driver's side coilover needs replaced soon? Obviously drivers side suspension takes more weight and abuse as you're always sat on that side.

Yeah thats all I could think of. Maybe over time it's slightly adjusted itself🤔

Jmncarter it may simply just be that the car weighs a lot more on that side as the engine is leaned over more that way, could also be the design of the coil over to help with the corner balance of the car

You should of went for a 205 35 OR 40 as to 45 to meaty in height. Also would of had less problems with ride height 🙂 Fitment with 45 isn’t going to be rear imo Looks to high now

Wanted a bit of a thicker tyre for the new 16s for bit of a protection. With the old 17s I had 205 40's and just thought they could like puncture or damage the alloy at any point down a pothole or something. See what ya mean tho mate and probs would have been better 🤔
