In this episode we celebrate 100 subs & I get the internal hole cut and smoothed to clear the flywheel so we can fit the clutch assembly. Thanks for watching!

Might save you some time....Throw the Ford dmf in the bin, for a single plate the TTV 1188 flywheel and an Audi 240mm plate (CG motorsport can make up an uprated plate/paddle etc) fits nicely onto the gearbox (46mm from crank face to clutch disc face), standard st220 cover fits/works ok but once you turbo it, it'll not hold the power, use a Focus rs/st cover. Much over around 550bhp and any single plate/cover just can't hold it any way. Make a spacer to extend the clutch release bearing and a spigot bearing extension (the gearbox input shaft won't reach into the crank). The ttv ring gear is the same diameter/offset, so now you've already taken a bit out of the Audi 01E bell housing it'll all fit nicely 👍

That great, thanks for the info. I've dealt with CG before and will use them again, always great products and service. I was planning on binning the stock DMF so just used it for mock up. What did you use to make the slave spacer? Guessing something tough like tool steel? My adapter plate is 12.7mm thick, is it worth surfacing it down to 10mm? What thickness did you use? I need a CNC mill 🤣 thanks for the TTV part number, that makes searching a lot easier. We're gonna have to meet up at some point, maybe do a Collab video or something? 🙂

Yes, i used a piece of high carbon steel, then hardened it, leave a lip so it's a snug fit onto/over the thrust bearing and some 648 loctite. My adaptor plate is indeed 10mm thick, never had an issue with it. Quick look at my sketches/notes when doing mine and the input shaft/spigot bearing extension is 48mm long overall and obviously needs to be a tight fit in the end of the 35mm crank recess, needle bearing i used was 15x21x12. Not sure where about's you live?@@ShambosShed
