In this episode we spend way too much time making wooden things so we can get the adapter plate made to properly mount the 01E gearbox to the Ford V6 gearbox.

A proper master-class in how to make an adaptor plate, at home in your shed, at a sensible price. Well explained. You make it look simple, just like Allen Millyard does when carving engines about, but I suspect it's not. Keep up the great videos.

Thanks Andrew, it does look simple, and to be honest it isn't that difficult, it's just time consuming and awkward when doing it alone. The adapter bits I made up definitely made life a lot easier. 🙂

Very interesting, a practical alternative to buying an overpriced adaptor plate or getting one made for you 👍👍👍

another way of centring the tap in the drill press is to use a centre point in the chuck on the top of the tap, then just turn the tap handle a few turns then once started just finish by hand

That was genuinely very cool. Will you be having all those parts cleaned up and looking shiny before the car is finished?
@ShambosShed11 ай бұрын
Yes, build the car then strip it all out to paint it and refurb/shiny up all the bits 🙂

Could you buy a microphone to clip onto your t-shirt?

Already have one but I've been having some issues with it. I think I've solved them now so hopefully the audio will be better from now on. 🙂

The easiest way is to make a small centre pin that fits snug into the s picket bush. Then take a one millimeter thick aluminium plate and make a hole that fits over the centre pin. Then take a small ball pin hammer and knock the edges and the holes out. As easy as that . Nothing complicated to do just that but then Brit’s are not that clever .😂😂😂
