Hi Dylan, very pleased you found the video useful. I sold the lights on eBay a year ago when my new 1250GS arrived with lights fitted, so I cannot measure the Denali D1 actual lights. However this is from the Denali website if it helps: Pod Size: 3.7” Round x 3.8” Deep (each)

This has answered a lot of questions for me. I have crash bars, so if i get lights attached to the bars, the extension should be more than enough. This will be another project down the road.
@normski30914 жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely right. I didn't have crash bars at that stage bit it would have been much easier to attach the lights to them. The lights are not really for the benefit of the rider but for being seen, you cannot be missed. In the UK we are not allowed to have all the flashing options that the Hex EzCan gives us, but still we are so much more visible! This video is Mike's RT, which he sold last week and has taken delivery of a new 1250GS Adventure, which is the perfect bike for him. It is his 5th GS in 10 years, plus an RT, two K1600's...oh and a Burgman scooter!

Good video. The Hex cable extension kit contains four 50 inch extension cables. How do the Denali lights connect to each other before you run the cable back to the Ezcan? Is it a plug and play connection ?
@normski30914 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve, Yes you are absolutely correct buy the HEX extension kit, those guys in South Africa know exactly what they are doing. My problem at the time was the UK supplier did not have them in stock, only the Denali ones. Each Denali cable, plus extension, runs back to the EzCAN as two separate lines. They are plug and play connections though......just way too short. The System is fantastic, so pleased we fitted the lights. Cars now pull over as we come up behind them like the sun. Sure they think we are police bikes! Fitted camera and GoPro charging to another EzCAN outlet, just so easy.

Hi, good video, one question, when you connect battery to hex can does the green light illuminate? I've connected mine to battery and no green power light? Perhaps I have faulty unit?
@normski30912 жыл бұрын
I cannot remember, I will take the seat off today and have a look. Back later🤗

So sorry it has taken me so long. I took my seats off and switched on the ignition and there is nothing that lights up or indicates that the system is working......except of course the very bright Denali lights🥳

Hello, Norman, Nice and clear video, my compliments. I just have 2 questions. 1. Did you connect both lamps to 1 connection of the ezCAN? 2. I read in the comments that you found cheaper mounting brackets somewhere, would you like to share this with me? Thanks in advance
@normski30913 жыл бұрын
Hi Hielke, great to hear from you. Now I have to try and remember way back. I connected each lamp to a separate connector in the EzCan. Maybe I mentioned looking for cheaper brackets but I never found any back then that would work…do Denali brackets after all. Had I fitted the crash bars at that time I am sure it would have been a lot cheaper to connect the lights to them🤷🏼♂️

@@normski3091 Ha Norman, Thanks for your quick reply. Those brackets indeed cost a fortune. I really like the way they are mounted but I might have to consider mounting the lights on the crash bars. Best regards from the Netherlands and happy days to you.

Did I see correctly that there is no fuse between the lamp and ezcan?
@normski30913 жыл бұрын
Hi Hielke, the electrics are my weakest subject, but the EzCan system ‘fuse’ ratings are set up in your laptop. All I know is that you are totally protected if you follow the instructions l. These South Africans are very clever 🤗

Useful video ref the light brackets - thank you - but how did you route the cable from the light to inside the fairing on the RT ? I can't see any obvious route in. Thanks
@normski30913 жыл бұрын
Hi John, yes there is a route without having to cut or drill anything, but I know exactly what you mean as at first you can see no way. I fitted them to my friends 2012 RT a couple of weeks ago, the Denali brackets half the price and oh so simple to fit for that model. Again couldn’t see a route through but it was there the same place. I have taken some pics but cannot load them in these comments. Send your email address to me at mrnormanhill@yahoo.co.uk and I will send them to you🤗

Another Great Video from you Norm! I've just bought a Gen II Hex Ezcan for my GS. Would've liked to have seen how you programmed the lights on your computer though...
@normski30912 жыл бұрын
Aha yes programming the lights. That is like a black art. I follow Hex videos very carefully but still haven’t a clue what I am really doing. In the UK we are not permitted to have anything flashing etc. I had the spotlights go out on the side when the indicator was on and also they flashed in time with hazard lights🤗
