Great to see so many drives in SF with no disengagements - that has been the experience we've also been having, even though we're no longer in the Bay Area - we moved to Penn Valley (about an hour northeast of Sacramento) a few years ago - but we've been going to the "big cities" of Grass Valley, Auburn, and even Sacramento for various test drives and it's been doing great! Love your editing, including the music!

It's clear that FSD is "overfit" on SF, just because most of their training data is from SF. Because of that I see the performance in SF as the current upper bound of the underlying technology. It's just a matter of gathering more data in other regions to get the same level of performance.

I really don't think people understand what we are seeing here. If you have been following autonomous car technology over the last couple of decades then you realize how impressive this is. It has a long way to go, but this still represents a massive surge forward in this area. A consumer vehicle with standard hardware using vision only systems at night in light rain with reasonably good results. This is incredible. I really think the existence of Tesla and its push to autonomy is going to result in the whole car industry reaching autonomous capability a decade earlier than they otherwise would have. Tesla is cracking the whip behind all of them.
