Hey, mons my friend made a mono-black turbo ad naus deck that might be more consistent. The commander was varragoth so he could search ad naus, peer, or even mana he needs to cast the ad naus. The deck played around 50 lands to rely on a land drop and get the cards he needed for ad naus, then winning. Codie is probably better due to five color.

Your might actually be more consistent. But I would stick with Codie just like you say. I think Varrgoth might be a bit slow too.

You forced my hand and I took apart najeela stax for this. I picked up all the missing pieces at Friday's prerelease profane tutor and all. I even dished out the cash and trades for an LED (local tourney is no proxy) and its brutal. Absolutely bonkers. I slotted in the intuition combo too w/ sevines rec. Honestly im glad that you can't cast permanents while codie is in play thats the true line of text that makes this perfecr

It would be kinda busted if you could. I playtested this before profane tutor came. And it was really struggling because of that limit.

Hope ya don't mind, I do have a couple questions/recommendations. If you're running emerald charm why not cerulean wisps for the additional draw or dramatic reversal to untap your rocks too? And if the game goes a little later and you get up to 7+ mana why not hall of the bandit lord? Give codie haste to go off when he comes in.

I cut it from my list actually. I have never needed it when I played this deck. I was always able to cast ad nase anyways. And sometimes I draw ad naseaum and then I really don't want bring to light inside the deck. So it went away.

Mons, love your video. You didn't mention Bring to light! Bring to light allows you to find and play ad naus and helps you get around the BB requirement

It should be possible to build it on somewhat of a budget. There are lots of strange options for some of the expensive cards.

Your list have a bit of rebuild, and I like it. But it really plays poorly if it stopped or under stax. But if you don't respect the Codex, it will trample you over!

I'm half a dozen games in with him. It is possible to reset and go again, but yeah, if you're in a pod with even a moderate about of stax, it really feels bad, even trying to go off the first time.
