I love your videos ❤ You don’t use the most expensive materials which makes me know I can be and artist without having to run out and buy this or that from the art stores. Which as you know can be very expensive. You don’t try to sale me classes. You show me that I can do what you do! You are a confidence builder and a great artist.Thank You so much!

Each time I see that you've added a video, I get excited to watch it. I really enjoy your process. Your color choices and layering techniques get me thinking out of the box. Anytime I think to myself "Well, that's an odd choice." or "I wouldn't do that." I find myself pleasantly surprised by the outcome. You achieve some really fantastic and unique results. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!

The gel medium is good because it bonds well with the acrylic paint because they're made from the same stuff, and you can use it as an overall protective sealant. You really did well to get all those wonderful prints, when you're experimenting again, with the past bit of paint on the plate you can put gel medium over it and it can get pretty much the last drop of paint off the plate. Such wonderful results!

Hello Fulton. I really enjoy your experiments as I love pushing materials to see what happens also. You can flatten the plastic by gently heating with a hairdryer then placing under weight to cool. You further monotype printmaking for many by experimenting and I too appreciate it. Keep on keeping on. You make printmaking interesting.

Robyn McClendon does wonderful collage material for her “junk-journals” as part of her gelli-print sessions. She likes to discharge her brayer on a broad variety of surfaces from rice paper to vintage book-pages. She incorporates them in collage work after. It makes for a cohesive body of work, as her palette colour choices contributing a certain cohesion to her ‘oeuvre’.

i always roll off then use the papers as collage later. Also, you mentioned a barron. Go buy yourself some Dove or Jergens that comes in a round smooth topped JAR. a friend of mine uses a similar disc shape and overs it with large leaves like banana or bamboo but I imagine you can use corn husks

To get the matt medium off, I found it comes off easier when I soak my fingers in hot water for a few seconds and keep rubbing them together under the water, the glue starts to roll off. Seems to work better before you put soap on.

Scribbles....do you have shapes that grab... comb kind of thing? or other ways to make scribbles more intricate than circles and arcs? I have made many with toilet paper rolls and glueing on pieces of rubber mats, paper, cardboard, seeds, rubber bands, yarn... etc. then you roll them by hand and then you can also use the paint that is now on them from the imprint to ghost your marks. This video has given me more ideas. Also stopping rolling too much is good.

Re use of a brayer, I haven’t tried a rolling pin, but I do have a tool used to smooth wallpaper when installing it, that I’ve used on the large plate with success. It is like a kind of rigid squeegee, but it has a rounded edge so it will smooth the paper without tearing it. Cheap, at the paint store!

I rarely varnish, the ideal home for a print is behind glass in a proper frame. You have to be careful with varnishes, some of them do not age well or change color with time.

Perhaps you discussed this & I missed it?, but these prints are a bit different, it seems to me, from those I’ve seen up to this point (I am traveling back in time as I watch your videos). Could it be that you are using the ends of tubes which are drying more quickly, making it harder to pull? Don’t get me wrong - I like these ghost prints very much. I may be off base of course about the paint consistency. Was just wondering. 😊

I love these so much until the collage. `I am one of those people that if a semi circle can be a mouth, I start to see a face. Its so tricky to collage without making things that look like things. Its made worse for me if an 'eye' is red as it then looks gory. Cant help it I just see things most people don't see and once I see it, I can't let it pass.
