Thanks for tuning in for this one, 皆! Wanted to make sure I could get something out before all-hallows' eve. Figured I'd up the ante from last year's Halloween video by featuring five Japanese horror films instead of just one. Watching all these in a row really added to the seasonal vibe.

These are all classics, but Kuroneko is my personal favorite, it's a treat.

The visuals of Kuroneko were something else. Seriously one of the more beautoful black-and-white films I've seen.

Onibaba made tall grass terrifying. It's an astonishing film.

That tall susuki grass makes for one of the most memorable settings in a horror film I've seen. A bit like what Woman in the Dunes did for sand.
