Fun fact: In the novels it's insinuated that Momoshiki's never actually trained in his life, meaning all of his powers come from eating the chakra fruits, which is why he isn't that strong on his own and can be easily taken by skilled fighters with way less power than him

Yes, but I think the reason he has never trained is due to his status/hierarchy. He's a member of the Main Clan, so that means he automatically has higher repute than Kaguya or Isshiki. That does now, however, mean he is more powerful than both of them, but I am one of those people who DO think he could beat Kaguya in the right circumstances. Also, it is not Momoshiki's duty to train to fight, all he needs to do is destroy worlds, harvest the fruit, and eat it. He likely figured he never needed to train when nothing and no one was strong enough to stop him. Until that is, he went to earth.

It's not a clan rule, just something they may do. It may also be for parent-kid type Otsutsuki, like passing on your power to the next generation.

One thing, Momoshiki is royalty and he never found a place where they learned to utilize tree chakra like on earth, so he never needed to train... Everything he did was by instinct.

A big part of this episode is Naruto realizing and acknowledging the part that he played in the strain between him and Boruto and how his neglect drove Boruto to become desperate for his attention just like episode 63 was a realization and acknowledgement from Boruto. While the fanbase are arguing who was at fault both Naruto and Boruto admit their mistakes and apologizes resolving to be better from now on. Momoshiki doing some real foreshadowing here, the Otsutsuki definitely has some clairvoyant powers as seem by Toneri. Mitsuki was absolutely adorable this episode and love his and Saradas obvious care and worry over Boruto. A far cry from Sarada and Borutos early relationship.

Remember, Momoshiki is Quite Nerfed here compared to the light Novels so That Naruto and Sasuke can take him down and Boruto actually has a Chance or Role to play as a MC , Momoshiki in the Light Novels was Actually Absorbing Entire Stars and Creating Multiple Dimensions more than Kaguya

@@aj-mindalex1448 I would have Inclined to agree if Not for the Fact that Current Manga Borushiki (80%momo)>>Base Momo shown in this arc,It can only Mean one of the 3 Reasons- Borushiki(80%) has complete access to Fused Momoshiki powers , Momoshiki is Much Stronger in Boruto than He was As himself ,or Momoshiki True Power was Hidden or nerfed the entire time,The Last Reason Seems more plausible to me,if you want to know more then tag me as to why I think Momoshiki was nerfed this time in manga/anime

I feel like that could also explain the absorbing stars (it's not like fighting someone) but also getting ass kicked

12:53 actually, kaguya had eaten a chakra fruit that comes from the perfect divine tree allows her to cast infinite tsukoyomi as she unlocked her red rinne sharingan. But for momoshiki, he just eaten his guardian's chakra and only unlocks a golden rinnegan which is supposedly right below red rinne sharingan in terms of power and jutsu.

As I always say, Boruto is different from what they say, calling him spoiled, on the contrary, he is very mature for a 12-year-old boy, he is good at everything, there had to be something to make him have this development. I wouldn't have the maturity he had, when Naruto would finally justify himself, ask for forgiveness, Boruto let it go, and said "it doesn't matter, let's start over", when he realized that Naruto was wrong, but he wasn't doing it on purpose , when he realized that naruto had come to his senses, he realized that he would try to improve, and forgave him without reservation. I would have forgiven in his place ONLY AFTER THROWING THE LAST 4 YEARS INTO NARUTO'S FACE HAHAH days of Hinata making food in vain, spending birthdays, events and important dates alone with Boruto and hima... One thing boruto doesn't yeah, it's immature, and if it were, it would be normal. There are people who have a tantrum with their parents for not being able to stay up later or for not buying a cell phone... Boruto's reason even if it was wrong, WHICH IS NOT, would be worthy.

I kind of agree and disagree with you here. When he said "let's start over," it sounded like he was admitting that he was wrong about his father. Yes, his father made mistakes but Boruto now knows why he is always in the office... It's because of threats like Momoshiki and him seeing said threat firsthand made him realize that his father has to be the Hokage and he can't be spoiled about it because he now sees the danger. After all, he didn't even know how strong Naruto was until Momoshiki attacked the village.

This comment took me like 3 reads to understand, super long run-on sentences and so many pronouns instead of names lol - but yeah, Boruto&naruto kind of (maturely) smoothed it over without a direct conversation about what should change beyond 'instead of lecturing please tell me stories'. All Naruto would have to do is just switch places with his shadow clone - instead of his real body being in the Hokage office, have the real body at home. So if he gets tired, only the clone goes poof. If that becomes an issue - Ino could just telepathically contact him with her jutsu like she did in the War and (200 eps from now) when she told him Delta was coming. I don't see any reason why this can't be the case in case anyone who reads the manga has more info

I wish we could have seen a scene where Sasuke and Momoshiki are fighting to get that fruit, just like Kakashi bell training. Momoshiki is trying to eat that fruit and Sasuke is not letting him, but in the end Momoshiki wins. That would have been a cool addition.

This arc plays up the pills idea, but it’s more like Kaguya was shown. Already powerful, but once they absorb a divine tree’s fruit, they get a massive increase in power and durability. And those upgrades are permanent.

That's why during the pain arc, lady katsuyu was telling him about the rinnegan's abilities because Naruto didn't know about pains abilities and Naruto didn't know that madara awakened the rinnegan
