Greeting's from Ireland, Great video, I would love to grow these in my front garden but my flower bed's are full and my pot number is nearly sixty after yesterday's excursion to a garden centre. My wife just informed me that I will be getting the boot if she see's any more pots or plant's.

Mmmm. New plants or new wife? It's a difficult choice. Does your wife cook?

@@walkingtalkinggardeners I've been a naughty boy. I saw a beautiful purple alstroemeria yesterday when I was in the local garden centre. I got the urge at lunchtime today and I went and bought it and a pot to plant it into. I hope my wife does not notice it or I will be getting a right ear full and rightly so we now have fifty eight pot's in the front garden but as you say you will always find room.

Was that 'Indian Summer'? I'm quite partial to that one myself. Just deny its new and pretend you bought it ages ago, and that she just hadn't noticed it until it changed colour! That should work!

As always enjoyed watching your videos. Can these Lilies be grown in a container that's deep enough for the bulb? Thank you

Hi Grace. Yes, you can. I had the Conca d'Or in a large pot for several years, and they grew fine. Kind regards, Simon

We are situated on top of a hill and can get some decent winds. I'd like to plant some Tree Lilies near our grape arbor. How much shelter is enough for them in your opinion?

It's difficult to say, but maybe consider planting near something substantial that could act as a wind break. Alternatively you could be back with staking depending on how strong the winds are.
