I use an alternative idea to flatten papers that are warped (for whatever reason) - I have an old fashioned 5# iron (the kind people used to have to heat on the stove, not electric) that I bought at an auction many, many years ago. I put the warped paper on a flat surface, cover it with an acrylic block or even a clear die cut machine plate (depending on the size of the paper) and put the iron on top of it. I could even use your book trick, putting the paper inside the pages and the iron on top of the closed book. Works a charm and the extra weight makes it work quite quickly. I'm really enjoying your videos!

Thanks for showing the book flattening technique...it’s way better than running through the die cutting machine and no chance of ruining your card with impressions from scratched plates. Thanks for always cracking me up! 😂😂😂

Great tips! Here’s two more for next time: 1) To straighten warped paper and dry a little more, put the project between two sheets of copier paper, and run the stack thru a laminator! The heat will dry the project better and the rollers will straighten the paper. Just do it before any embossing! 2) I had an old self healing cutting mat, when I got a new one, I cut up the old one into new cutting plates for my die cutting machine! I use one of them for one of the cutting plates. It works for the top cutting plate that gets scratched up, the bottom plate is the original one and it stays in good shape! Thanks for sharing this great video! Love the Biore joke, wonder if that would work on my nose???🤔 JKD!!!😂🤣

Thanks, these are helpful. My pet peeve with the edges of die cuts is the stuff that still is a little connected. I find running a tooth pick along the edge is helpful. Not to mention how helpful a toothpick can be with glue in tight spots. Not world-changing, as you say, but helpful at times. Have a great day, Cathy! 💌🌞

The de-hairing tip is definitely going to get a try. I have been frustrated with this issue for a while. I use my homemade embossing bag for de-sticking everything! I seem to have unresolved issues with getting things lined up then realizing that there’s a teeny tiny bit of my double sided tape exposed. It works beautifully for that. Take one and pass one on!
