Pretty new colours, that ultramarine turquoise is a real stunner!

Hi Miranda, your cat is funny and adorable. The A. Gallo paints look yummy. I will have to try them someday. After I try all my other paints 😂. I will get there.

Ahhh... Love your little helper at the end. Good thing she was available to assist. Love my A.Gallo paints.

Oh, from your title, I thought that A.Gallo had five new colors, but actually you have 5 colors that are new to you.❤

Yes, sorry for the confusion!

Those super rusty pliers are so you :) Oh no not the dreaded Skor tape again! Oh well, you can never change this one either then! I also have the YinMin from A. Gallo - I should really use that - indistinguishable from ultramarine though!

Stunning colours! I enjoyed the mixes I wonder if you could do a mixing video on the Schmincke super granulating colours? I'd be very interested in mixing my own but can't seem to find any video's on how to do it, no pressure though I know you've got lots to do, kitty was very cute helping you out too :D

That would be a fun video! I'll consider putting it on the list as a priority.

Your office assistant is so cute. How do you get anything done?

Thanks! Sometimes it's hard to get things done, but we figure it out eventually. 😀

Turning green. Don't think getting new pliers would violate your no buy.

I actually threw those away right after I pulled those metal clips off because I grabbed a nice pair of pliers from my Grandma's house I just didn't know where they were right then

Not sure why that comment had a thumbs down. Probably a bump in the road. Oops! Fixed it. You know I love you. ❤️

Miranda, I've been in Japan for the last 2 weeks, I only have 2 days left, do you have any recommendations for Japanese art supplies before I leave? I already bought the Holbein 108 set, and a Coptic 72 set, and some other small items. I want to make the most out of being here, because I don't think I'll be able to come back again, at least not for a very long time!

Oooh, how exciting! 🤔 Hmm... how about the Kuretaki paints? There are also a few channels here on KZbin that I've seen do Japanese-based art hauls. If I were you, I'd do a search for those videos and see what else they might have! Let me know what else you end up getting! I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

@@MirandaWatsonArt Thank you! I was thinking about the Kusakabe Single Pigment line that recently came out, apparently it's Japan only for now, but after buying such a huge amount of paint, I feel like I should get some other variety of art materials. I got some dip pens, multiliners, fountain pens, a combination pen + mechanical pencil, and even a 100% cotton, made in Japan, watercolor sketchbook, but I can't help but feel like I'm missing something. It really is crazy over here, because the local made products are so much more affordable, and the foreign products are so much more expensive! For example, the Holbein 108 set, which can be bought for $600 in the US, was only $154! Meanwhile, those Speedball sets that go for like $2½-$5 are over $20 here. So it makes it seem like they value the foreign products more, because all the foreign brands are there with deluxe pricing, right next to their cheap local supplies. Except pens. They are crazy about pens. I tried out a pen that seemed really nice, an ink-based ballpoint pen, looked at the price, and it was $40! And I was in the cheap pen section! I knew about fountain pens, I knew about mechanical pencils, but I didn't know that even disposable ballpoint pens had a luxury market in Japan! Apparently it's a prestige item for Japanese businessmen.

@LeesChannel oh wow, that's kind of fascinating to read, lol. What a deal on the Holbein! Wish I was more helpful, but it sounds like you've found a good selection already!

@@MirandaWatsonArt I suppose I want to do my own kind of regional "no buy," and stock up on all the Japanese products I can. Because after I leave, it'll be hard to pick up the items I missed for double or triple the price.
