Five Nights at Freddy's is an upcoming American supernatural horror film directed by Emma Tammi from a screenplay she co-wrote with Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback, based on the video game franchise of the same name created and developed by Cawthon. It stars Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson, Piper Rubio, Kat Conner Sterling, and Elizabeth Lail.
The film was first announced in April 2015 with the involvement of Warner Bros. Pictures, and Gil Kenan made a deal to direct and co-write it. After several delays to begin production, Warner Bros. eventually put the project into turnaround and Kenan was no longer involved. In March 2017, it was announced that Blumhouse Productions would produce the film. Chris Columbus was set to write and direct it in February 2018. Later, Columbus left the project, with Tammi replacing him as director and co-writer in October 2022. Principal photography began on February 1, 2023 in New Orleans and ended on April 3 of the same year.
Five Nights at Freddy's is scheduled to be released simultaneously in theatres and on Peacock in the United States by Universal Pictures on October 27, 2023.

My son has all the characters & plushies, he’s obsessed. I’m not sure if I can let him watch the film, he is 16 but he has special needs & think this would be too much for him 😮

Please let him watch it. If this trailer is anything to go by, the games are not much different in terms of scares and intensity, and it won't be that bad anyway since it's pg-13. I've been a sheltered kid growing up, and let me tell you from my own personal experience, the last thing your kid will want is to be socially isolated from everyone else because they missed out on a popular experience.

@@crukts7544 pg-13 can still be scary and have mature themes. And even though the film isn't rated yet, let's all be honest fnaf is still very popular with kids, Blumhouse would be shooting themselves in the foot if they didn't make it pg-13.

This movie has been in development hell for 8 years! A trilogy is confirmed, I cannot wait for this movie universe! The lore runs deep! Main reason why everyone fell in love with the series in the first place. There's 9 main core games, 4+ spinoffs, 19+ novels, and now finally a movie trilogy on the way. (even books based on the movie eventually!) Matthew Lillard will be playing William Afton. A violent child murderer who stuffs his victims inside the animatronic suits that later possess them. The story is insanely dark. 😬

It's a pc game but it is one on all consoles now and mobile as well. Also it has a TON of lore. You would have to watch Matpats Fnaf Ultimate Timeline video in order to understand it though. There 13 games total now, although some aren't canon and are just Spinoff games. You have Fnaf 1, Fnaf 2, Fnaf 3, Fnaf 4, Fnaf Sister location, Fnaf 6, Fnaf World, Fnaf Freddy in space 2, Fnaf AR, Fnaf VR, Fnaf Furys Rage, Fnaf Security Breach, Fnaf Ultimate Custom Night. Yeah, there's a lot Lmao😂
