Really shows in what an awful condition he is in. Some could argue that what he did causes him to deserve this, whilst others claim that all that he done was out of desperation, the fact that pebbles and moon's stories are so complex gives the players a lot of different perspectives on how to see the story, I think that's pretty cool.

@@Water-rg7gp the worst part is like by now 5 pebbles knows he fucked up and regrets his actions, imagine sitting there for who knows how long slowly dying from your own actions, thinking that *maybe* your neighbor is still somehow alive because of a different rat you trusted to help after you almost killed them, the only thing left is a pearl that plays music that is slowly deteriorating and will eventually stop working all together just like 5 pebbles, and then watching some green fluffy rodent sit there with you for basically no reason keeping you company and then dying in your lap, it had every opportunity to leave and yet it choose not to. 5 pebbles going through it man

5 Pebbles is a newer model, which means he can survive without any neurons, but is basically your 97 year old grandmother, unlike moon who will straight up die without them. This means with enough research an iterator could be made that could function without their can, and could survive past it's collapse.

Actually, I think Pebbles can survive without neurons because unlike Moon his umbilical is still attached and wasn’t severed during the collapse. If you grab one of his neurons when he’s more... Functional, he’ll mention that his umbilical would keep him conscious were he to lose all of them, but that they still contain his memories and thoughts and are thus still vital.

@@ismasp04 maybe, yes, but that begs the question of whether ascension is even a real way to die, cuz as far as we know people ain't exactly dead when ascended; no matter how many times you ascend them Lizards, they keep respawning, and Moon and Pebs appear to be just fine down in the Rubicon; not dead, still living; not to mention the weirdness of Saint's ending It's also worth noting that the Iterators quite literally do not have an option on whether to solve the Great Problem, remember "So why exactly are we doing all this?" I know this isn't the best place to speculate but I wonder how pebbles is able to process anything without at least 1 neuron. Didn't moon pretty much go into a coma after losing all of hers? Or am I mistaken and dumb 🥲 I also thought maybe I could be a difference in model technology since moon is an older iterator than pebbles Nonetheless it's gutwrenching to see him in that state 😭

perhaps it’s because moon’s facility shut down entirely, needing a neuron with a slag reset key to revive them, whereas pebbles never really overheated or got de-activated, their natural metals just got replaced by rot, that then died.

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense. Moon died/went into a coma due to her structure collapsing n shutting everything off, neurons included. This guy had the rot, naturally eroding equipment and a whole damn city to crash into and somehow his puppet remains active? Those newer models are no joke

Yes, but the blizzard that causes the freezing gets harsher & colder over time, making the time you can spend outside shorter & shorter. Plus, if you don't have a lantern or a warm place to stay, Saint stays cold & continues freezing even when indoors.
