Google ''Book of Abraham pt 6 (LDS critics lied to you) youtube'', see the video from the 30:35 to the 30:45 min mark. This is a demonstration that Joseph Smith translates back to what it was supposed to mean originally. Proper interpretation, in other words. This ALONE debunks your anti-Book of Abraham video. As your anti-Book of Abraham video is based on that the translation from Joseph Smith was supposed to concur with that of the Egyptologists. Actually you'd have to be pretty seriously stupid to have actually have believed that. That video from the 30:35 to the 30:45 min mark demonstrates the proper way to have interpreted.

@John Sluder You know the Trinity is no where found in the Bible, we believe in the Biblical Godhead. Romans 1:20 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD; so that they are without excuse: The Godhead is in the Bible, the Trinity is NOT. Baptizing the dead. 1 Peter 4:6 6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. Once the great apostasy occurred and God omitted the priesthood keys no baptisms were performed by the authority of God so they didn't count. John the Revelator was in exile receiving the word of God while Linus was assumed president. If Linus was the authorised president and possessed apostolic power the word of God would of been revealed through Linus. Since John was the only one with the priesthood still alive, when he died in exile the priesthood was gone from the earth. That's why the last scripture in the Bible was recorded by John. All those unauthorised baptisms are performed so the dead can be released from spirit prison and Christ and his angels preach the gospel to the dead.

NO OFFENSE to Latter Day Saints. We are not enemies. I have someone close to me who is a LDS The book of mormon originated from an angel, right? Whether or not Joseph Smith said the truth, Galatians 1:8-9 is clear that anything that comes from angel or any man, cannot be trusted. THE BOOK OF MORMON'S COVER DID SAY "ANOTHER TESTAMENT" when the Bible is only the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation. Its impossible for God to have multiple truths. It's impossible. We can't believe in the book of mormon and the Bible at the same time. And btw, the Bible was already done waaay before Joseph Smith was born Proverbs 30:5-6 (King James Version) 5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Joseph Smith said "Take away the book of Mormon and where is our religion? We have none" And btw, about what we are called, The book of MORMON. Latter Day Saints are called "mormons". That's the name of an angel. While Christians, it came from the name CHRIST. Which is Jesus Christ. God the Son, the world's Savior, the image of God The Father, etc. Christians are the followers of Christ. We are saved by grace through faith. Not by works, it's a free gift of God. NOT ONLY CHRISTIANS. EVERYONE IN THE WHOLE WORLD. THE BIBLE APPLIES TO EVERYONE WHETHER OR NOT YOU'RE A CHRISTIAN. And again, no offense to the latter day saints. We are not enemies. God said that we should love one another

This still doesn't make sense. I'm not a Mormon, but I'm inter-denominational. My theory, is that it's speaking about the Gospels and books of the New Testament. How would another book be contrary unless it directly modifies the Gospels of Christ. The Gospels in the NT are the same ones Mormons follow. And even if you're right, doesn't that mean we should all go back to being Jewish by practice? Since everything past Deuteronomy is changing the words? Deuteronomy 4:2 (NRSV) You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God with which I am charging you. Deuteronomy 12:32 (NRSV) You must diligently observe everything that I command you; do not add to it or take anything from it. Proverbs 30:5-6 (NRSV) Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, or else he will rebuke you, and you will be found a liar. Ecclesiastes 3:14 (NRSV) I know that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; God has done this, so that all should stand in awe before him. Galatians 1:8 (NRSV) But even if we or an angel from heaven should proclaim to you a gospel contrary to what we proclaimed to you, let that one be accursed! Revelation 1:10-11 (NRSV) I was in the spirit[a] on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet Revelation 22:18-19 (NRSV) I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book; if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

If Mormons believed in the Bible, they would believe in Galatians 1:6-9. If Mormons believed in Jesus Christ, they would believe that because He died on the Cross, we do not earn our salvation from works whatsoever, according to Romans 3:10-12. If Mormons believed in the Trinity, they would believe that God is three persons* in one, not as three separate persons. If Mormons believed in Jesus Christ, then they should not be earning their salvation by works, that which Ephesians 2:8-9 clearly states. If Mormons say they are Christian, believe in Jesus Christ, say they have the only truth and the Gospel, they would have tested Joseph Smith’s prophecy from an angel(like 1 John 4:1 says). Now if any Mormon is reading this, I don’t want any misconceptions about what I’m for, and that is this: I believe that God created the heavens and the earth, and that he made Angels-some that have even turned away-and humans. Those humans, Adam and Eve, were created to marvel at God and talk with him and live perfectly in the Garden of Eden; however, Satan had turned Adam’s and Eve’s heart to eat the Apple of Knowledge, and committed a sin, thus began the fall of man. This fall had broken God’s heart, and the relationship between God and Man was blotted by Sin. However, God has sent a prophecy and will help overcome the barrier between God and Man, and that prophecy is Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross and bore every sin onto himself as if he committed every single one of them. Later, he rose again, and has went up back to heaven to rule heaven once again. This is so that any, and I mean *any*, person that believes that this is true will truly have eternal life!

In Alma 7:10 (the Book of Mormon), they say Jesus would be born in Jerusalem. Micha 5:2 (from the Old Testament) Messiah is prophecied to be born in Bethlehem. We have copies of this document from the Dead Sea Scrolls dating to a century or two before Christ. Bethlehem is a different city than Jerusalem. Jesus was born in Bethlehem (Matthew 2:1) 1 Nephi 18:25, 2 Nephi 12:7, Mosiah 9:9, and Ether 9:19 discribes plants and animals being in the Americas that we know were no here until they were brought by colonizers. 1 Nephi 19, 1 Nephi 18:25 discusses there being metal working like swords, armor, and coins when there is no evidence anywhere in the Americas of any metal work being done or ever found. Mormon 8:2 and Ether 15 discuss battles with hundreds of thousands to millions of people, using armor and metals, with chariots, and there is no evidence of any such battles taking place. Even with small battles, there is always massive amounts of evidence that it happened from human remains, armor, arrowheads, swords, ect. and we find none of that for these battles. Isaiah 43:10 “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. Isaiah 44:6 “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. We have the writing of the disciples of the Apostles and the disciples of those disciples, and they not only quote much of the New Testament, but all the core idea of Christianty are present. Jesus being God, the Son of God, dying for sins, burial, resurrection, ascension to heaven. We also have writing of Jewish and Pagan contemporary historians who were hostile towards Jesus, who say the same things : Jesus being worshipped as God, the Son of God, dying for on the cross, burial, resurrection. The archeology matches the Bible perfectly all the way from Genesis through the New Testament. The fact that there are so many manuscripts makes it easy to tell when someone changed one, and modern Bibles are transparent about any differences in the footnotes. Over 5,000 manuscripts in the original Greek and 20,000 in other lanuages. None of those differences found between manuscripts change anything about any core doctrines of Christianity, they are mainly a handwriting error on a letter or a different way to word something that means the same thing. There is 99.5% accuracy between the manuscripts according to scholars. The Book of Mormon has none of this.

img 73, You see them as problems because you want to, let me reveal that one of the things people says contradicts actually doesn't contradict. We say we can't be forgiven for murder. Alma 24:9-10 9 And behold, I also thank my God, that by opening this correspondence we have been convinced of our sins, and of the many murders which we have committed. 10 And I also thank my God, yea, my great God, that he hath granted unto us that we might repent of these things, and also that he hath forgiven us of those our many sins and murders which we have committed, and taken away the guilt from our hearts, through the merits of his Son. That's not a contradiction if you study it as a whole. Alma 24:13 13 Behold, I say unto you, Nay, let us retain our swords that they be not stained with the blood of our brethren; for perhaps, if we should stain our swords again they can no more be washed bright through the blood of the Son of our great God, which shall be shed for the atonement of our sins. Verse 9 &10 are talking about the time they were following the wicked traditions of their fathers not knowing anything about the word of God. Then once they heard the word of God they would not be forgiven for murder anymore. "they can no more be washed bright" God is more merciful and tolerant towards those who don't know his word and ways because how can they follow ways they've never been taught? Those who do know his ways know because he has revealed that knowledge to them and he won't suffer them to treat that knowledge too lightly.

It's mainly because of the archeology, "friendly" writers, and "hostile" writers mentioned above that the Jesus Seminar, who are PhD level ashiest/agnostics who study Christ and the Bible, concluded that Jesus really lived in Judea 2,000 years ago, was known as a miracle workers, died on the cross under Pilate, and that his disciples really believed they had seen him risen from the dead. The fact that there are contradictions between manuscripts is often sited as proof against trusting scripture, when it actually does the opposite. There is also all the undisigned coincidence between not only the four Gospels, but the rest of the New and Old Testaments too. Matthew 2:22 talks about Joseph not wanting to return to Judea after fleeing to Egypt because Archelaus was ruling. That's all the info on that the Bible gives. Josephus, the Jewish historian, tells us about the things Archelaus did and how evil he was. Put these two peices of evidence together, we get the full picture. This sort of thing happens through the text with the seemingly useless details matching up perfectly with extra Biblical sources, lending to the credibility of the text. The Apostles willingness to be killed not for saying they believed Jesus had risen, but they knew he had risen, because they saw him. If the tomb wasn't empty, they would've paraded the body around to stomp out any idea of Jesus being ressurrected, but Christianty spread because there was no body in the tomb. If someone stole the body, why were nearly all the Apostles willing to be killed for saying they'd seen Jesus risen? They were thousands of miles away from one another before phones and the internet and were being threaten, tortured, and murdered for their claim. Not one "broke" and said it was a lie to save themselves. It's because of the evidence that I believe in Jesus.

The reason I personally don't believe that Joseph Smith was visited by the Lord God and Jesus Christ. Because that's not normal, even the disciples never had this type of visitation. Paul.had visitation but it was Jesus Christ directly confronted him, with a very clear and specific message. Paul didn't bring any different messages but continued with same theme, thats why other disciples had no problems to accept him. Secondly, Joseph Smith was told to dug the earth to find the tablet with message. I personally think it is mockery of our God who gave 10 commandments on the mountain with all that Holiness and reverence to God. Moses was called on the mountain, then why Joseph Smith was asked to dug the earth to find this tablet. The book he wrote has no connections with the already given bible. Lastly, the bible in Hebrew 1,1,2 says in Sundry times God spoke to our forefathers through prophets but in these last days He has spoken to us through His son. Very clearly that the Lord Jesus Christ was the last voice sent at the end of the age. We know the period of prophets came to conclusion 400 yrs before the first arrival of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came with the message of salvation. Then he died to destroy the power of sin and death which caused people to be disobedient to the voice of God. Jews utterly failed to please the Lord God almighty and take His name to the uttermost part of the world therefore they are out of picture. Prophets time ceased. Therefore I personally believe those who came after Jesus Christ were not accepted by the Jew's nor by the christians. Therfore they remained antichrist. Who is antichrist but who deny the divinity of Christ, His crucifixion, burial and the resurrection. Just think about the following Islam came 650 yrs after Christianity Mohammad claimed that he was visited by Gabriel. Obviously there is lots of controversy on that, because he didn't know what actually was happening to him. He was acting like he is demon possessed, like he was having seizures etc. His wife khadija who.was 15 years older a Catholic nun told him that its Gabriel that has visited him. Anyhow, he claimed that Gabriel told him that Jew's and the christians have got it all wrong Therefore he must bring the truth. Result Jew's and the christians rejected the claim because nothing sounded biblical to test this spirit. And we know the rest of the Islamic story. Then comes Russell Taze who founded jehovah witness He also claimed that Jew's, christians, and now Islam added in the claim got it wrong. No Jew's or the christians accepted the claim. They deny the divinity of Christ and don't believe that the Holy Spirit is a person and God. Then comes LDS Again claimed the same thing Jews, christians, Islam, JWs, got it wrong and he must bring the truth. Now we only have to decide who is right among themor all of them got it wrong because they didn't believe the finished work of the Cross. Didn't believe that Jesus Christ came redeemed His people and went up after empowering them.with Holy spirit to carry on the great commission until He returns again. I will leave this to the readers. If you want to live with Jesus Christ forever then simply embrace Jesus Christ and be busy in sharing the gospel and soon Jesus Will return and gather us to Himself. God bless

@@caman171 I notice that these pathetic internet sources are useless, type the opposite and you'll get results as well. It's plain foolish to base decisions on truth on what you see on the internet. Sites and videos you share are based on interpretations of flawed thinking humans trusting their own understanding even though the Bible says we shouldn't lean on our own understanding. According to my interpretation of the scriptures they don't contradict. The interpretations of people contradict, not the scriptures themselves. Some people think Luke 16:16 proves there's never to be true prophets again, when you look at the rest of the scriptures that's obviously a false interpretation. God always revealed his Word through prophets, God was still revealing his Word after Christ's time on earth. Peter was a prophet, Acts 6:7 says "And the word of God increased;" If you do agree that God is the same yesterday, today and forever, you must believe God can increase his word today and forever just like he could yesterday. You all deny that truth just as the Pharisees did.

May I point out your tactics, common to all these sites that I have found in this presentation? 1. As a minister, don't rely on personal revelation or the Holy Spirit, but on the learning of men. 2. Be sure and state your doubts that the Book of Mormon came from God. Ignore James 1:5-6 that says if you lack wisdom to ask of God. In particular ignore you must ask with faith or you are like a storm-tossed wave of the sea. (You can find the same admonition in the Book of Mormon to ask in faith, oddly enough.) 3. Use sinister words- the Book of Mormon plates were not holy or sacred, they were “secret.” 4. Ignore half of the truth to cause division. The Bible is also a foundational text for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but be sure to only mention the Book of Mormon. 5. Don’t check facts. Lump the Doctrine and Covenants in with “ancient documents” which it is not. 6. Make archaeology your god of truth for the Book of Mormon, forgetting that while you have an authentic setting for the Bible and the names of mostly kings, you have no evidence of the spiritual leaders- Abraham, Joseph in Egypt, Moses, Peter or even Jesus Christ. Ignore the unique Book of Mormon names that have been discovered as authentic Hebrew or Egyptian since the death of Joseph Smith. Don’t talk about, Hebraic poetic and grammatical structures Joseph wouldn't have known much about, let alone known how to use properly, and the fact that archaeology is an ever changing field- see the discovery of Etzanoa, or the “Stonehenge” found in Lake Michigan. Ignore also that IF the Book of Mormon took place in northeastern America that the destruction that went on with European settlers has disturbed about 90% of the locations. 7. Make sure to point out that Mormons can’t agree where the Book of Mormon took place, thus allowing the watcher to assume that goes for their testimony of the book as divine. 8. Don’t consider that the Book of Mormon essentially ends at 400 AD and nothing is known about the fate of the people who were left, other than they were at war among themselves. Don’t consider other groups that may have come into the area before or after who mixed or fought with them in the 1,000 intervening years. 9. Use the fun word “cult” while ignoring that cults are generally small, suspicious and reclusive groups with one leader, while the LDS faith has about 17 million members, is a worldwide church, and is led by a group of successive leaders who build interfaith relations and encourage love and service. 10. Be sure to cast aspersions about the personal integrity of Joseph Smith. Do not mention that he might have been reluctant to speak of the vision he had because of the reaction of ministers like you. Leave out documented sources that show who said such things about Joseph Smith, since they were from detractors or were hearsay statements. Interpret Lucy Mack Smith’s statement about how much Joseph knew of the Book of Mormon culture as “storytelling.” 11. State that the accounts of the First Vision contradict rather than add different details. Since you have not had a vision of God, assume that the experience was not overwhelming and multi faceted. Ignore psychological knowledge today that has found liars tell the same thing over and over in perfect chronological order. Also ignore that we only assume when Emma knew about polygamy and what Joseph did or did not tell her. 12. Make the insinuation that since Joseph Smith’s father had the same dream found in the Book of Mormon that Joseph somehow stole it, ignoring that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 13. Try to get traction with racial issues. Bring up race and the mark of Cain, which was opinion- don’t realize that you are judging the past by the cultural values of today. Ignore 1 Nephi 17:35-“Behold, the Lord esteemeth all flesh in one; he that is righteous is favored of God.” Don’t look at the “bigotry” and violence of the children of Israel, who slaughtered the women and children of other tribes. Don’t consider that the “skin of blackness” was to prevent intermarriage with unbelievers- that unrighteousness was the curse, not dark skin. 14. Assume we know all there is to know about the relatively new science of genetics and where DNA is disbursed, as well as the DNA of the Book of Mormon groups.

I have a couple more for you: The chronology is all messed up. Examples: Nephi, son of Helaman the Second was elected Chief Judge by the people at the age of 5. This is doesn't appear to be intentional, as the tale reads that he was a good judge, strong in the faith, but a few pages earlier his birth date is given to be just 5 years prior. Apparently Joseph forgot his own timeline. (Helaman, chapter 3) Later a speech is recorded, which Helaman gave his twin sons, Nephi and Lehi, but they had to have been 4 years old or less, yet the talk reads as if given to young adults. Later, toward the end of the book, Ammaron, brother of Amos the record keeper, if you follow the time line, had to had lived about 290 years. There are probably plenty more time mistakes but those are two that stand out.

I think it egregious to think that chronologically, in a book that mentions many names in the span of 200+ years you claim to say that this man lived 200 years. Also, maybe check your logic out the door. Abraham lived 180 (and many others much more) according to the Bible.

Amazing how Mormon theology changes with the wind. When US. Congress refused to allow Utah statehood, due to polygamy & pedophilia, God came to the Mormon church and told them to give up multiple wives & sex with children... In1978, Jessie Jackson led a planned Salt Lake City protest of Blacks non admission to the priesthood & the temple. 100,000 Black men were organizing a protest in Utah of racist Mormon church teachings; Then, that same year, God then came to the Mormon church and told them black people were now okay. For 180 years, Mormon church taught hateful things towards Gays. Now in 2023, after bad press, God has told the Mormon church to back off the condemnation of Gays...Interesting timing of God's revelations & heat the Mormon Church was feeling.

The Book of Mormon presents HUGE problems that cannot be explained away: LANGUAGE: 1 Ne. 1:2, etc., states that Hebrews who left Jerusalem and came to the Americas spoke Egyptian. It is a known fact that Hebrews spoke Hebrew, and their records were kept in Hebrew. Egyptians were their enemies. It is absurd to think that Hebrews would have written their sacred history in Egyptian as to think that American History would have been written in Russian. In Mormon 9:32, 34, it is state that the language was "reformed Egyptian" and that no other people knew their language. There is no known language called "reformed Egyptian." DESERT FRUIT: 1 Ne. 17:5 talks about ample fruit and wild honey being products of Sinai desert (called Bountiful). Not possible! DESERT TIMBER: 1 Ne. 18:1 talks about ample timber that these Jews used to build a ship. There is not ample timber in that area. It was a desert. It still is a desert. LAMAN RIVER: 1 Ne. 2:6-9 mentions a river named Laman that flows into the Red Sea. There is no river there and has not been since the Pleistocene era. BOTANICAL PROBLEMS are many in the Book of Mormon. Wheat, barley, olives, etc., are mentioned, but none of these were in the Americas at that time. ANIMALS: North America had no cows, asses, horses, oxen, etc. Europeans brought them hundreds and hundreds of years later. North America had no lions, leopards, nor sheep at that time. Honey bees were brought here by Europeans much later. Ether 9:18, 19, lists domestic cattle, cows, and oxen as separate species! They did not even exist in the Americas at that time. The Book of Mormon also mentions swine as being useful to man. Maybe, but Jews would not think of swine as being useful or good; swine were forbidden, unclean animals to them. Horses, asses, and elephants were not in the Americas either. And what on earth are "cureloms" and "cumoms"? No such animals have ever been identified anywhere. Domestic animals that are thought to be "useful" would hardly become extinct. Ether 9:30-34 talks about poisonous snakes driving sheep to the south. The Book of Mormon states that the people ate the snake-killed animals, all of them! (v. 34). Hebrews would not have eaten animals that were killed that way. Chickens and dogs did not exist in the Americas at that time either. BUTTER is also mentioned, but it could not possibly exist, since no milk-producing animals were found in the Americas at that time. CLOTHING MATERIAL: No silk and wool clothing (or moths) existed at that time either, contrary to 1 Ne. 13:7; Alma 4:6; Ether 9:17 and 10:24. BEHEADING: Beheaded Shiz --- Ether 15:30-31 says that after Shiz was beheaded, he raised up and struggled for breath! MISCALCULATIONS: In Ether, chapter 6, we learn that furious winds propelled the barges to the promised land for 344 days! Even if the winds were not "furious" but, for example, blew only 10 miles per hour, the distance traveled in 344 days would have been 82,560 miles, or more than three times around the world. Absurdity, to say the least! And why would the Lord instruct Jared to make a hole on top and bottom of each barge? (Ether 2:20). POPULATION: When Lehi left Jerusalem, according to the Book of Mormon, his group consisted of fewer than 20 people. Yet 19 years later the people had so prospered and multiplied in the Promised Land that they built a temple of which the "manner of construction was like unto the temple of Solomon: and the workmanship thereof was exceeding fine" (2. Ne. 5:16). Looking at what the Bible says about the construction of Solomon's temple, we find that it took 30,000 Israelites, 150,000 hewers of stone and carriers, 3,300 supervisors (I Kings 5:13-16) and about seven years to build it (See also I Kings 6). And how many people could Lehi have had in his group after 19 years? The book further tells that in less than 30 years after arriving on this continent, they had multiplied so rapidly that they even divided into two nations. Even the most rapid human reproduction could only have resulted in a few dozen in that brief time, and most of them still would be infants and children and about one-third older people. Not only did they divide into two nations, but throughout the book, about every few years, they had devastating wars that killed thousands (i.e., Alma 28:2). SKIN COLOR: Beginning after the first 19 years or so, Laman and Lemuel and their descendants and followers (!) turned dark skinned because of their disobedience (2 Ne. 5:21). According to the Book of Mormon, dark skin color was a curse from God! This change of skin color takes place throughout the book. In 2 Ne. 30:6 we read that if Lamanites accepted the true gospel, they became "white and delightsome" (and since the 1981 printing of the Book of Mormon, they became "pure and delightsome.) But if they left this true gospel, they became "dark and loathsome." People's skin color does not change if they believe or do not believe! Nor is the skin color a curse! The Book of Mormon teaches that Indians originated from these Jewish settlers. Indians are distinctly Mongoloid. They have the "Mongoloid" blue spot, specific blood traits, and their facial features are of typical Asian origin, not Semitic at all. Current DNA evidence has confirmed this as well. Questionable Materials for This Time Period In Ether 7:8-9, we read of steel and breakable windows (2:23) in Abraham's time! Try to explain that to an archaeologist. Steel was not even developed until about 1400 years later. At the end of the Book of Mormon, Moroni tells about a great battle that took place on the Hill Cumorah. Over 200,000 people, armed to their teeth, were killed on that hill. The story tells about Their weapons, breastplates, helmets, swords etc. Nothing has ever been found on that hill or anywhere else in this continent. As a matter of fact, metal, helmets, swords, etc., do not disappear in a mere 1400 years. Before the LDS Church purchased the Hill Cumorah, it was literally dug full of holes and even caves, but nothing was ever found. (Joseph Smith told about a cave inside Hill Cumorah and how they - he and Oliver - went in and out of it. Supposedly it had wagon loads of gold plates, Laban sword, etc.) When people dig even for worms in the Holy Land, they make discoveries. In contrast to the Book of Mormon, cities, places, coins, clothing, swords, etc. mentioned in the Bible have been found by archaeologists, but not one single place mentioned in the Book of Mormon has ever been identified. There are still people in the LDS Church who believe that archaeology has proved, at least to a degree, the Book of Mormon. Some missionaries are still using slide presentations of ruins from Mexico and South America, implying that they prove the Book of Mormon, but they are from an entirely DIFFERENT TIME PERIOD and are ruins of idol worshipers who offered human sacrifices. further: www.namb.net/apologetics/the-truth-about-mormonism /

well done, and good work. likewise the story of the book of Mormon seems more lifted from the Bible Abraham story, with Lehi and his family being called by God to inherit "another" the promise land, is very typical with having the same names as ishmael as a son and Sariah was the wife of Lehi. apparently there is also Joseph Smith father's dream that appears to have been placed into the story. the servant of Laban after going on a journey did not recognize it was Nephi instead of Laban who was all the while wearing Laban's blood soaked robes. I found it rather interesting that when ever the narrative was too lazy for the details, (or so it seems) the line "and it came to pass" was used quite more often, more than what seemed necessary...for example reading 1 Nephi 16, the chapter on the whole, "and it came to pass" seems to be the only on going theme here. consecutively. I also found it rather thin, that it only took one verse privy to a line or two which merely states that they have arrived at the American continent. reading along with all the other journey issues between Jerusalem and back into the wilderness, then spending 8 years, (eating raw meat no less) they then build a ship, and it was like blimp% and they simply crossed over two vast oceans without much a mentioning. The pen it seems is faster than the wind which carries so little about the adventures of on going sea voyages. I found it hard to believe that there was this warrior man named Ammon who went about to slice of the arms of the Lamanites who were trying to club him, Alma 17 and then he went about to collected these arms scattered about, to show them to the king....but then Ammon has an argument with the King's father, who also was a King, and so Ammon then slices off the King's arm! They both then have some what a religious dialog, all the while the father's arm is shorn off and bleeding with every medical emergency. odd as well is that a group of grown men are said to have "wept all day long" because someone stole their bo sheep the night before. seems just as silly. the reason for the top and bottom holes? from the description, they built the barges first, and only then thought how were they suppose to breath, supposedly the Lord told them to place one hole on the bottom then another on top, what I am getting is that they were to stop and unstop one hole for the other should the vessel flip over. lest the "waters" pours in. but if this be the case, then this proves to be impossible to plug and unplug one hole for the other while being flipped over, and over again, and seems to be disastrous to all the lives stock and fishes, birds and people, water and food supplies, all being tossed around like a drum like that. there is of course a lot more to Smith' book that seems more that of a piece of fiction. than anything to be taken seriously...including the plagiarism of over 250 New Testament passages, to make matters worse, found in their signature King James bible old 1611 English, 80 of these passages appear to have come from the writings of St. Paul! Now it is not hard to understand just where Joseph Smith got the writings of St. Paul from to place into this book.

Dr Spaseebo, Ponder about the Book of Mormon and you should understand the purpose of writing Altered Egyptian. 1) Who could read the records? Only the prophets, no one else. The people didn't have the ability to speak/read Egyptian, only prophets given the gift of translation. 2) God only trusted the prophets to keep the recordings sacred and hidden from man until the last days. So he would have the records written in a way only prophets could translate them. Anyone could read Hebrew so God would not have it recorded things in Hebrew because he knew they would have to be unreadable until his time.

You lied. The Book of Mormon does not state they used Egyptian as there speaking language. They were educated people and could speak Egyptian while Hebrew was their speaking language. and mainly they recorded their history in "reformed Egyptian" because it was a more convenient form of writing history.

1. Archaeological evidence is one of the weakest points for the Book of Mormon, however they do exist. Nahom is an ancient burial ground that exists today in Saudi Arabia and is identified in the Book of Mormon (1 Nephi 16;34) at a time when the region was unknown to Joseph Smith. 2. Goats, sheep, and cows were present throughout Mesoamerica before Columbus among the Mayan society. Sheep’s wool has been found in pre-Columbian burial grounds in Mexico. Iron was used by the Olmec civilization thousands of years prior to Lehi coming to the Americas. steel was used in ancient Israel. 3. Paul’s vision on the road to Damascus occurred between 33-36 AD. The book of Acts was written in Rome sometime between 70 and 80 AD. His account wasn’t written down until almost 40 years after it occurred. Paul has three different versions all showing inconsistencies. In one, Paul is standing, in another he falls to the ground, and in yet another, everyone falls to the ground. In one version those with him heard a voice and in a second version they didn’t hear anyone. In one, Ananias lays his hands on Paul to regain his sight, in another he tells Paul to be baptized to regain his sight. 6:23 “If [Paul] can’t even remember those details right, it does lead us to question, is this really the kind of guy that we want to trust.” Do you doubt Paul’s vision as much as Joseph Smith’s? 4. There is an abundance of evidence the Book of Mormon is not 19th century writing. One significant example is the depth of the chiastic structures found throughout the text. Many chiasms span entire chapters and books of scripture in the Book of Mormon. Nothing remotely as detailed can be found in American literature of the time. However, it is common in the Bible and other ancient Hebrew texts. 5. Haplogroups A through D all indicate Asian genetic origins as you suggest. However, Haplogroup X, a fifth genetic group, has origins in Europe in parts of the Middle East. Some of our present day Native American population do show genetic marks linking them to Hebrew ancestry.

Alma 15 talks about metal coins being used as currency when there are no metal coins to be found anywhere in the Americas until colonialism.

Too Legit To Quit . Jesus said it many times. Why was he crucified, hello? Because he referred to himself as son of God, which in the Hebrew language means “God”. It is found in Mathew 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am. He referred to himself as the I am. Joseph Smith was found to be a polygamist, was found to be a drunk, was committing scrying which is witchcraft, which the Bible condemns. How did Joseph Smith die? Spreading the gospel of love? no. He died in a gun battle in prison, with men he had swindled and betrayed. Please leave the cult and come to Christ. All that I mentioned, you can review yourself. Why would God call a person that was into scrying to call with a special vision.

@Too Legit To Quit . Well, unfortunately, you were fed only religion when you were growing up. Salvation, is a relationship with the creator through his son Jesus Christ, which was prophesied to be Emmanuel, or God with us. Just to point something out, of all accounts of special people in history, the accounts of the life of Jesus were the most accurate. Some were written very close to his death and resurrection. As close as 30 years, from those that were around Jesus himself. It was documented that more than 500 witnesses saw him alive after his resurrection. Many of the original manuscripts can still be found. The key evidence that he is God, he arose from the dead like he said he would. His body was never found, to disprove the resurrection. Choose to not believe if you want, but there is a lot of evidence He is the truth, like his Word. Jesus loves you, and he is still at the door of your heart knocking, if you will open, he will come in and have a relationship with you, but if you don't, you will find out the hard way.

@Too Legit To Quit . OK, I know I am saved and will enter heaven and how do I know this? because I know the Father, through his son Jesus Christ. The answer is in John 3:16. See man was separated from God because of sin. For the wages of sin is death (Rom 3:23) but Jesus, being perfect, took our place upon the cross, so if by faith we believe in that sacrifice, it brings true forgiveness and by it salvation. It does not mean you will be perfect, but the Lord will make a way to help you be more like him. God's desire is that you will be and know you are saved. I can give you more information if you are interested. my desire is to not win an argument, but for you to have salvation and know the joy and peace it will bring.

8:57 Clarification, I think you mis-spoke. It was claimed that the people of the _BoM_ were the American Indian's ancestors. It was the introduction of the BoM published in 1981 that said the BoM people were "the principle ancestors of the American Indians." It was revised in 2006 to say "among the ancestors of the American Indians". As for the Mezo-American setting for the BoM, as far as I'm concerned, anachronisms don't matter, geographical correlations don't matter, even finding settlements don't matter. This is the red herring Mormon apologists _want_ you to be concerned with. They would _love_ for people to buy into the BoM being in a small, limited setting on the western hemisphere somewhere. Ether 13:2-8 The Book of Mormon relies on the flood of Noah being a _global_ event. The reference above talks about the flood affecting the western hemisphere. Any living things or people who would have been there would have been killed in the flood. The book _necessitates_ that _all_ Native Americans came from the Book of Mormon people. The claim is too specific to be reconciled with the science. If the out-of-Africa model for human migration is correct, then the Book of Mormon _can't_ be true.

"The Book of Mormon is not only the keystone of our religion, but it can also become the keystone of our testimonies so that when trials or unanswered questions confront us, it can hold our testimonies securely in place. This book is the one weight on the scales of truth that exceeds the combined weight of all the critics’ arguments. Why? Because if it is true, then Joseph Smith was a prophet and this is the restored Church of Jesus Christ, regardless of any historical or other arguments to the contrary. For this reason, the critics are intent on disproving the Book of Mormon, but the obstacles they face are insurmountable because this book is true. First, the critics must explain how Joseph Smith, a 23-year-old farm boy with limited education, created a book with hundreds of unique names and places, as well as detailed stories and events. Accordingly, many critics propose that he was a creative genius who relied upon numerous books and other local resources to create the historical content of the Book of Mormon. But contrary to their assertion, there is not a solitary witness who claims to have seen Joseph with any of these alleged resources before the translation began. Even if this argument were true, it is woefully insufficient to explain the Book of Mormon’s existence. One must also answer the question: how did Joseph read all of these alleged resources, winnow out the irrelevant, keep the intricate facts straight as to who was in what place and when, and then dictate it by perfect memory? For when Joseph Smith translated, he had no notes whatsoever. In fact, his wife Emma recalled: “He had neither manuscript nor book to read from. … If he had had anything of the kind he could not have concealed it from me.” So how did Joseph perform this remarkable feat of dictating a 500-plus-page book without any notes? To do so, he must not only have been a creative genius but also have had a photographic memory of prodigious proportions. But if that is true, why did his critics not call attention to this remarkable talent? But there is more. These arguments account only for the book’s historical content. The real issues still remain: how did Joseph produce a book that radiates with the Spirit, and where did he get such profound doctrine, much of which clarifies or contradicts the Christian beliefs of his time? For example, the Book of Mormon teaches, contrary to most Christian beliefs, that the Fall of Adam was a positive step forward. It reveals the covenants made at baptism, which are not addressed in the Bible. In addition, one might ask: where did Joseph get the powerful insight that because of Christ’s Atonement, He can not only cleanse us but also perfect us? Where did he get the stunning sermon on faith in Alma 32? Or King Benjamin’s sermon on the Savior’s Atonement, perhaps the most remarkable sermon on this subject in all scripture? Or the allegory of the olive tree with all its complexity and doctrinal richness? When I read this allegory, I have to map it out to follow its intricacies. Are we now supposed to believe that Joseph Smith just dictated these sermons off the top of his head with no notes whatsoever? Contrary to such a conclusion, God’s fingerprints are all over the Book of Mormon, as evidenced by its majestic doctrinal truths, particularly its masterful sermons on the Atonement of Jesus Christ. If Joseph were not a prophet, then in order to account for these and many other remarkable doctrinal insights, the critics must make the argument that he was also a theological genius. But if that were the case, one might ask: why was Joseph the only one in the 1,800 years following Christ’s ministry to produce such a breadth of unique and clarifying doctrines? Because it was revelation, not brilliance, that was the source of this book. But even if we suppose that Joseph were a creative and theological genius with a photographic memory-these talents alone do not make him a skilled writer. To explain the Book of Mormon’s existence, the critics must also make the claim that Joseph was a naturally gifted writer at age 23. Otherwise, how did he interweave scores of names, places, and events into a harmonious whole without inconsistencies? How did he pen detailed war strategies, compose eloquent sermons, and coin phrases that are highlighted, memorized, quoted, and placed on refrigerator doors by millions of people, phrases such as, “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God” (Mosiah 2:17) or “Men are, that they might have joy” (2 Nephi 2:25). These are messages with a heartbeat-messages that live and breathe and inspire. To suggest that Joseph Smith at age 23 possessed the skills necessary to write this monumental work in a single draft in approximately 65 working days is simply counter to the realities of life. President Russell M. Nelson, an experienced and skilled writer, shared that he had over 40 rewrites of a recent general conference talk. Are we now to believe that Joseph Smith, on his own, dictated the entire Book of Mormon in a single draft with mainly minor grammatical changes made thereafter? Joseph’s wife Emma confirmed the impossibility of such an undertaking: “Joseph Smith [as a young man] could neither write nor dictate a coherent and well-worded letter; let alone dictat[e] a book like the Book of Mormon.” And finally, even if one accepts all of the foregoing arguments, dubious as they may be, the critics still face another looming obstacle. Joseph claimed that the Book of Mormon was written on golden plates. This claim received unrelenting criticism in his day-for “everyone” knew that ancient histories were written on papyrus or parchment, until years later, when metal plates with ancient writings were discovered. In addition, the critics claimed that the use of cement, as described in the Book of Mormon, was beyond the technical expertise of these early Americans-until cement structures were found in ancient America. How do the critics now account for these and similar unlikely discoveries? Joseph, you see, must also have been a very, very lucky guesser. Somehow, in spite of all the odds against him, against all existing scientific and academic knowledge, he guessed right when all the others were wrong. When all is said and done, one might wonder how someone could believe that all these alleged factors and forces, as proposed by the critics, fortuitously combined in such a way that enabled Joseph to write the Book of Mormon and thus foster a satanic hoax. But how does this make sense? In direct opposition to such an assertion, this book has inspired millions to reject Satan and to live more Christlike lives. While someone might choose to believe the critics’ line of reasoning, it is, for me, an intellectual and spiritual dead end. To believe such, I would have to accept one unproven assumption after another. In addition, I would have to disregard the testimony of every one of the 11 witnesses, even though each remained true to his testimony to the very end; I would have to reject the divine doctrine that fills page after page of this sacred book with its supernal truths; I would have to ignore the fact that multitudes, including myself, have come closer to God by reading this book than any other; and above all, I would have to deny the confirming whisperings of the Holy Spirit. This would be contrary to everything I know to be true. One of my good and bright friends left the Church for a time. He recently wrote to me of his return: “Initially, I wanted the Book of Mormon to be proven to me historically, geographically, linguistically, and culturally. But when I changed my focus to what it teaches about the gospel of Jesus Christ and His saving mission, I began to gain a testimony of its truthfulness. One day while reading the Book of Mormon in my room, I paused, knelt down, and gave a heartfelt prayer and felt resoundingly that Heavenly Father whispered to my spirit that the Church and the Book of Mormon were definitely true. My three-and-a-half-year period of reinvestigating the Church led me back wholeheartedly and convincingly to its truthfulness.” If one will take the time to humbly read and ponder the Book of Mormon, as did my friend, and give ear to the sweet fruits of the Spirit, then he or she will eventually receive the desired witness. The Book of Mormon is one of God’s priceless gifts to us. It is both sword and shield-it sends the word of God into battle to fight for the hearts of the just and serves as an arch defender of the truth. As Saints, we have not only the privilege to defend the Book of Mormon but also the opportunity to take the offense-to preach with power its divine doctrine and bear testimony of its crowning witness of Jesus Christ. I bear my solemn testimony that the Book of Mormon was translated by the gift and power of God. It is God’s compelling witness of the divinity of Jesus Christ, the prophetic calling of Joseph Smith, and the absolute truth of this Church. May it become the keystone of our testimonies, so it may be said of us, as it was of the converted Lamanites, they “never did fall away” (Alma 23:6). In the name of Jesus Christ, amen." -Tad R. Callister

Critics do have valid explanations for Mr. Callister's concerns. Sources may be provided upon request. "First, the critics must explain how Joseph Smith, a 23-year-old farm boy with limited education, created a book with hundreds of unique names and places, as well as detailed stories and events. Accordingly, many critics propose that he was a creative genius who relied upon numerous books and other local resources to create the historical content of the Book of Mormon." First off, just because he was not formally educated that doesn't mean he was illiterate. His Father was a school teacher and his parents homeschooled him on the bible. Second, even if we gave Joseph Smith the benefit of doubt and assumed he was free from any influence from his more educated and literate peers, he would not be the only example of a person with limited education creating literature that seemingly exceeds their capabilities. The Prophet Muhamad was poorly educated, and similar to Joseph Smith he had the Quran dictated through scribes. There is also Pearl Curran, who likewise had limited education and demonstrated no outstanding skills in writing until after she claimed to be the dictator of a spirit. "But contrary to their assertion, there is not a solitary witness who claims to have seen Joseph with any of these alleged resources before the translation began." On the contrary, the King James Bible is one such source from which he allegedly derived inspiration and it is common knowledge that he had access to that. Otherwise, just because we don't know for certain whether he had direct access to some of these sources prior the translation process, that doesn't mean he couldn't have derived inspiration from them by other means. For instance, his primary scribe was Oliver Cowdry who was associated with the Author of another alleged resourced called View of the Hebrews. We don't know whether Oliver Cowdry gave Joseph Smith a physical copy of this book, but it's entirely plausible that he shared its ideas with Joseph while creating the Book of Mormon. "In fact, his wife Emma recalled: “He had neither manuscript nor book to read from. … If he had had anything of the kind he could not have concealed it from me.” Emma was only directly involved with the translation for a portion of the time. Regardless, there is such a thing called "dishonesty." I understand the concept may be foreign to someone gullible enough to accept Mormonism in the first place, so I shall inform you that just because someone says something, that does not mean it is true. "If Joseph were not a prophet, then in order to account for these and many other remarkable doctrinal insights, the critics must make the argument that he was also a theological genius." Perhaps, but we critics are not the only ones faced the burden of making this argument. Many of the literary elements in the Book of Mormon apologists laud as evidence of semantic origin are also present in the Book of Law of the Lord, written by James Strang. I assume you know who he is, and based on your recognition of Russel M. Nelson as the modern prophet, you do not subscribe to the Strangite denomination. If James Strang was not a prophet of god, then he can't have translated his book in the same manner Joseph Smith did. Thus, if critics are burdened with reconciling these issues to debunk the Book of Mormon, then Mormon apologists are burdened with reconciling the exact same issues to debunk the Book of the Law of the Lord. "Otherwise, how did he interweave scores of names, places, and events into a harmonious whole without inconsistencies?" Actually, there WERE inconsistencies in the original print of the Book of Mormon. They were corrected by the church later. Given Mr. Callister's credentials, he surely was aware of that and must have made conscious decision to omit this information. As such his academic integrity is suspect, and I need not go any further.

(the factual story which missionaries are taught at the MTC to completely avoid). Church records of history are evidence that prove Smith to be a charlatan, an con man and a pedophile. The history of Joseph Smith speaks for itself. He married 14 year old children, behind Emma's back!!. If it were for an honorable cause, then why so secret?. Why was it necessary for Smith to have to warn Emma to accept polygamy in D&C 132, lest she would be "damned"?. He always had revelations whenever he was in the shit to justify his evil behaviour. When the church employed academic researchers who dug up the factual past of Smith what was discovered was very disturbing, and after 2010 the church suffered a flood of people to leave. The hemorrhaging hasn't stopped. Then the church went into damage control and got Daniel Petersen to lead F.A.R.M.S, which later failed to stop the stem of the exodus of it's members., Petersen was fired. Thus the church disbanded FARMS and another pack of self apologetic clowns formed FairMormon and lds.org. The church has been into damage control for decades now and the internet has revealed the facts that we were never taught and revealed the massive fraud the Mormon Church has always been. The church leaders emphasize honesty and integrity but they all preach from a hypocritical pulpit. Smith was a fraud, and the Holy Ghost testifies that the Church is NOT true.

Joseph smith ordained black converts to the priesthood, fyi. It was later, due to common Christian teachings that Cain was cursed and his skin became black as a sign of his curse that led to Brigham young following the perceived teaching and then denying priesthood advancement until the church leaders finally refuted that teaching. The Book of Mormon nor the church teach racism. Most members are outside the US and are not white. God loves all races. Don’t fool yourself that Mormons teach otherwise.

Alma 15 talks about metal coins being used as currency when there are no metal coins to be found anywhere in the Americas until colonialism.

The concept of black people being a curse in scripture is the basis European Christians, Semitic North Africans, and Islamic Arabs used are varying points over 1800 years to justify enslaving black Africans. It's not unique to Mormonism. Jehovah's Witnesses preached that blacks wouldn't enter Paradise, until the WTS later changed their minds in the early 1970s. Their earlier literature spoke of white superiority and Aryan strengths. The Mormons are not alone in their teachings, proving their thoughts were those of men. Still, the sentiment of blacks as cursed by God is one these religions were founded on through upbringings by other Abrahamic faiths over the centuries.

The Bible Romans 3:28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law. Titus 3:5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, *********** There is no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of God (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, p. 188). The Bible Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." - John 14:6 *********** "This grace is an enabling power that allows men and women to lay hold on eternal life and exaltation after they have expended their own best efforts," (LDS Bible Dictionary, p. 697). The Bible Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. *********** There is no salvation outside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" (Mormon Doctrine, p.670). Or simply talented. Joseph Smith was not the only person who produced the book of Mormon. Google “sealed Book of Mormon”. There was one produced in 2006, and one produced in 2019. The latter was published by RLDS, also known as Community of Christ. The sealed versions read very authentic, profound and internally consistent. Yet, they are denied by the main LDS faction. This demonstrates that the intricacy and internal consistency of the scripture can in no way be used as the evidence in support of the authenticity of the book. Regarding the Bible, many people find it easier to believe in the books contained within the Bible, because the historicity of the Bible is stronger. Even atheists have to admit the existence of the historical Jesus. We know Romans and Assyrians and the Jews have existed. We Found dead sea scrolls, but there is no golden plates.

The archeology matches the Bible perfectly all the way from Genesis through the New Testament. The fact that there are so many manuscripts makes it easy to tell when someone changed one, and modern Bibles are transparent about any differences in the footnotes. Over 5,000 manuscripts in the original Greek and 20,000 in other lanuages. There is 99.5% accuracy between the manuscripts according to scholars.

One can talk themselves out of believing in the bible as well. It has at least five problems. The measure of authenticity is plausibility. Over all, the Book of Mormon is very plausible. The first 40 pages take place in the Old World, where we now know quite a bit about the culture and geography. The Book of Mormon reads with the accuracy of an an author who has been to Arabia. Several discoveries have been made by following Lehi's route through the desert. The Book of Mormon shines in verifiable detail. From the River of Laman, to the graveyard of Nahom, to the verdant coast of southern Arabia, the Book of Mormon gives an accurate description of the environs and culture. When it comes to the archeology, history and geography of the Americas, we have a spotty record at best. The Spanish melted the gold and burned the books. What few books remain actually support the Book of Mormon as a history to some extent. Los Titulos de los Senores de Totonicapán, for example, tells the story of Israelites who came across the ocean to America. It was only published in Spanish after the publication of the Book of Mormon, so there was no way for Joseph Smith to know of it. Mormon gives us an account of people who wrote their histories in stone, and others who wrote their histories in gold. The Olmec were expert stone carvers and did write their histories in stone. The Dresdin codex tells of how records were kept on gold plates, by the Maya. Mormon also includes the account of a great cataclysm that deformed the land, and caused three days of darkness. Modern examples of such a cataclysm would include Krakatoa, but there were severe volcanic eruptions in America as well, that date to the period in question. The eruption of Apoyeque in Nicaragua occurred around the time of Christ, and is one of the most violent eruptions of the past two thousand years. It was more violent than even Krakatoa. A large part of Nicaragua is now under water because of that eruption. Mormon is a general, and mostly talks about war, when he isn't talking about religion. He accurately describes the tactics, dress, armor and weapons of a Mayan warrior. One might accuse me of cherry picking, just finding some culture that resembles those described in the Book of Mormon, but my point is that it shouldn't be possible - unless the Book of Mormon is a genuine history. Such a culture cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Many discoveries have been made by taking the Book of Mormon seriously. People are not compelled to believe it, any more than they are compelled to believe in the Bible. The ultimate test is a spiritual one, not a test of archeology.

Responding to the five problems: 1. There's copious amounts of evidence, you just haven't looked. And just because there's disagreement among mormons doesn't mean there isn't merit to the theories put forth. You also have to take into account that there isn't all much we know about ancient mesoamerica period. So, just because the book of mormon talks about things we haven't found yet, doesn't mean they didn't actually exist. And while there is a good number of things we haven't found yet, there are also things we have found which would be astronomical coincidences for Joseph Smith to just make up statistically speaking. As a quick example, what's your secular explanation for Nahom, pray tell? 2. Practically the same as my response to the first, so I'll address some of your more specific points here instead. Sheep, goats, and cattle do natively exist in the Americas. Ever heard of bighorn sheep, or llamas, or buffalo? As for horses, horses actually evolved in the Americas, but were hunted to extinction by native populations so that they didn't exist in the new world any longer by the time Columbus arrived. However, we have discovered evidence of horses existing in the Americas far predating Columbus, and even evidence of horses existing in the time period after the book of mormon, but before Columbus. (400-1400 AD) However it is true that we haven't found evidence of horses that dates to the book of mormon era (600 BC - 400 AD) but we've found evidence of horses both before and after that period, so it's only really a matter of time. However, judging by how the book of mormon describes horses (ruminant animals used only as beasts of burden and never as mounts or war horses, the way Joseph Smith thought of horses) it's likely that "horses" were just what the Nephites called them, and they weren't actually horses. Ever heard of a river horse? That's what the greeks called hippos (and in fact is what hippopotamus translates to) cultures often name new species after animals they are more familiar with instead of giving them new names. Sea horses for example, look nothing like horses. American indians when they saw horses for the first time, called them deer, because that's what they reminded them of. So book of mormon horses were probably either llamas or tapirs. (tapirs can get to be about the size of a donkey, and actually don't look that far off. At least more similar than hippos are to horses.) Moving on, there is evidence of metal work in the americas. And while you probably won't find what us modern people call steel, there very well could be something an ancient people call steel, because the word "steel" is far older than the material it describes in the modern day, which really didn't come into prominence until the last few hundred years. So all mention of steel found in the bible would also have to be discounted. You mention chariots, and this is where you expose yourself as someone who hasn't actually examined the book of mormon, and has instead just skimmed or googled talking points. Because the only time chariots are ever mentioned in the book of mormon, is when Nephi is directly quoting from the book of Isaiah in the bible. It is never said that chariots existed in the new world. And even if it did, the word chariot in Hebrew doesn't necessarily refer to the Ben Hurr chariots we think of it, and instead just roughly means vehicle, something you ride for transport or to carry things. I was also going to mention how we've found native domesticated cultivars of barley in the americas, but you actually mentioned that yourself, so good on you. 3. This point is also incredibly flawed, but the amount of historical evidence I would have to cite in order to properly push back on this point would take far too long, so I will simply have to ask you to do a bit of your own research on the other side of the issue, if you want more detail on how Joseph was trustworthy in this regard. Now, Joseph was human, just like all of us, and made a lot of mistakes. There are entire sections of the D&C dedicated to reprimanding him, however that does not impact the truthfullness of his testimony, as well as the testimonies of dozens of other very trustworthy men that would necessarily have to be lying as well in order to maintain the very consistent narrative surrounding the gold plates and other things, such as the 11 witnesses. However, what I think is very important to note is that there is no good alternative explanation for how the book of mormon came to exist, every secular explanation falls apart. We're talking about a farmboy with 3 years of elementary school education, who can't even spell the word "chirch" (church), orally dictating about 530 pages of a historical epic with incredible amounts of intricate details, all internally consistent, in just over a month, essentially with their eyes closed. Far from whether or not you think he's trustworthy, you have to explain to me how he's not the greatest literary genius in the history of the world. I can't even think of anyone that could quote several whole chapters of Isaiah with their eyes closed, and that would be the "easy" part of writing the book of mormon. So until you give me a good alternative explanation for the book of mormon's existence, I'm going to stick with what all the historical documentation points towards. 4. I don't know about Joseph Smith Sr.'s dream, but otherwise, this also doesn't hold up. The book of mormon is chalk full of Hebraisms (things that make more sense in Hebrew than english) if you want an example, look no further than chiasmus, a form of hebrew poetry that mormons didn't find out about until over a hundred years after Joseph Smith's death. And some of the greatest examples of Chiasmus we have, are in the book of mormon, there are entire chapters written in this form of poetry, and it's simply incredible. No way something like that could just be made up on a first draft they way it would have to be if Joseph wasn't translating it. And that's just scratching the surface. As for the whole race thing, it's important to note that Joseph Smith didn't believe in all the racist ideas of his day. He ran for president on an anti-slavery platform, he ordained black people to the priesthood, etc. It's also important to note that almost every time the words black and white are mentioned they're usually used in phrases like "white and pure" and "black and loathsome" so it's very likely the words are to be taken symbolically, and not referring to people's skin color. However, there are anthropological explanations as to why the Lamanites would suddenly become darker skinned while the Nephites remained Jewish looking (at least at the start anyway) was because the Nephites would still be keeping the law of Moses that says to marry within the covenant, whereas the Lamanites wouldn't care and would intermarry with the darker skinned native populations. Which would make it all the more scathing when Jacob remarks a few decades later that the Nephites are becoming less chaste than the Lamanites because the Nephites have started adulterating, while the Lamanites quote: "loves their wives, and their wives love their husbands" (I don't have the verse in front of me, so that may be a misquote.) 5. To bring up DNA is utterly intellectually dishonest in this case. We are talking about really only five Jewish people from over 2,600 years ago (Lehi, Sariah, Zoram, Ishmael, and his wife) among 100s of thousands of other native peoples. The DNA of their descendants would be just about impossible to find, even if you included the Mulekites. To say it's disproven, when we've found exactly what we would expect to find assuming the null hypothesis of the book of mormon being true, is incredibly presumptuous. This is a video that gives more information on the topic: Ugo Perego - Book of Mormon and DNA Studies - KZbin Also, Joseph Smith never claims that he received revelation from God that the indians from his area of the US were descendants from the lamanites, although you could make the argument that perhaps they were very distantly related after thousands of years of intermingling. The statement that the lamanites were the "principle ancestors" is not from the gold plates, it's part of the preface, added in by non prophets giving a summary of the book, such a statement in no way holds any authority on the subject. The person who wrote that statement was simply mistaken, as were the many members of the church who believed the statement because they didn't read into the book of mormon very deeply, as the book does make numerous inferences to there being other native populations already existing. Really the only credible statement we really have on who the descendants of the book of mormon people are, was when one of the more modern general authorities mentioned that he thought that the native Hawaiians were the descendants of Hagoth, a rather obscure background character in the book of mormon.

Also, Reformed Egyptian was used exclusively by the priestly class among the Nephites, the vast majority of the population were probably illiterate. #2) Horses and chariots are scarcely mentioned in the text, there is no indication they were very commonly used at all. Many of the so called anachronisms mentioned are also very outdated. #3) The claim that JS was an untrustworthy person is a personal opinion based solely on a handful of unreliable hostile sources and ignores the majority of historical evidence. #4) Popular beliefs of the time about the lost tribes of Israel hardly discredits the BoM. It would be like arguing that the New Testament cannot be taken seriously because it reflects popular Jewish belief in a Messiah during the Roman occupation. #5) No DNA study has ever been undertaken by the scientific community to disprove any genetic relation between native Americans and ancient Jews, especially since no pre-diaspora DNA sample exists for comparison. I want to address the brother’s point on having variations of the first vision account when Joseph saw Jesus and God the Father. The ancient manuscripts namely the uncials and the codices make a distinction in the father’s voice in the New Testament in Christ’s baptism, the Holy Ghost manifests in a form of a dove and Christ hears his Father’s voice Immediately following his immersion into the water. Notice that Matthew, Mark, and Luke record how God the Father spoke from heaven. Most Bible students are familiar with the words, “My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” However, it may have never dawned on some that Mark and Luke’s accounts differ from Matthew’s in that they record God speaking directly to Jesus (“You are My beloved Son”-Mark 1:11; Luke 3:22, emp. added), while Matthew records the Father speaking to others, saying, “This is My beloved Son” (3:17, emp. added). Having these variations should not test our Christian belief in the distinct nature of the Father and the Son. Joseph Smith and the Martyr Stephen in Acts 7:55 both had similar visions of seeing distinct personages. This strengthens my faith in the distinct nature of the two personages as they correlate well with the first vision accounts of Joseph Smith. Happy to engage with all of you who are investigating the Book of Mormon. There are many faith promoting resources available for those looking to grow their understanding. Much love to this brother and our prayers are with him

Yes, they are bad. When you worship a god that was once a man and came from another planet you are an idolater. God used to be a man on another planet, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321; Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, vol. 5, p. 613-614; Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, vol. 2, p. 345; Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333). THE BI BLE The true and living God has said that He is not a man. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent I Samuel 15:29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent. Hosea 11:9 for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: Job 9:32 “In truth I know that this is so; But how can a man be in the right [b]before God? “For He is not a man as I am that I may answer Him, That we may go to court together. "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." - John 4:24 "A spirit does not have flesh and bones" - Luke 24:39 I Timothy 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. ***** When you deny Jesus Christ and say he is a created being, you are committing blasphemy, a very serious sin. JESUS IS GOD Matthew 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.” John 10:33 The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.” John 20:28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” Col. 2:9 For in Jesus dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Even God called Jesus, God. Hebrews 1:8 But of the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, And the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom. Jesus is 100% God and 100% man. As a man, Jesus ate, thirsted, slept, wept, prayed to God and died. As God, Jesus rebuked Satan, forgave sin, performed miracles, accepted worship from the people, raised the dead and even raised himself from the dead. John 2:19 It is called the hypostatic union. Jesus said your sins would not be forgiven if you did not believe He was God. John 8:19 So they were saying to Him, “Where is Your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither Me nor My Father; if you knew Me, you would know My Father also.” 24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” Good people do not go to heaven. Jesus said no one is good. You need to be perfect to get into heaven.

To love; you should have good heart. I am a good person until I see a person better than my standard of goodness. Being good is the progress towards a worthy cause. Love is God. Whoever lives in love, lives forever. How selfish it is to try to keep something forever? Love is all about nourishing, nurturing, sharing and expanding the love within you for all. The principle to which we adhere to is that we have kindness of love at heart for the whole of mankind. As long as there is the unnecessary differences within us; we can not live peacefully so we have to eliminate all the unnecessary differences among us so we can love all. People abilities may vary but not there true love. If we love a person/ God for a reason then we love the reason but not the person. No reason is the reason to love the person because true love never fails. So do not compare or measure the true love as first or the last but love all truly. If you love people truly then you can understand people. If you don't love then you don't understand people at all. People are controlled by system why? The Cyclical Consumption is the current economy all over the World. It is making the scarcity problems of the earth finite resources to deteriorate day by day. Current Monetary System is legalised theft. Real money is Gold and Silver. Scarcity gives the money more value. Real money won't lose it's value. When Governments stay away from Gold & Silver then very easy to transfer the wealth / resources to upper class the Rich (Corporatocracy) Elite. When the Governments are printing out more new fiat currency with reserve banks, our old currency is losing its purchasing power everyday. They are printing millions of currency everyday. All governments and laws are existing right now to transfer wealth to upper class the rich elite. The USA Government & other Governments are in many countries, bailed the investment banks & financial institutions in 2008 against the majority of the people. There is no democracy in any countries. Because of the Money System based on profits motive only above all else even humans lives and well-being. So, we do not have freedom to protect our values with the money so on. The violence, bankruptcy & all the negativities are build into the Monetary System of our society. All are owned (including ourselves) by Reserve Bank. Which is private cartel the corporation. So, in legal system, we are legally considered as chattel the properties. They make money in the capital markets with our birth certificates. They do not consider us as Humans. That's the truth. We are at the invisible war with the Elites (Corporatocracies). We have to fight for our Freedom. Resource Based Economy is the Solution. We have to declare the earth resources as the heritage of all the people of this world. So everyone has access to it. Please have your research about zeitgeist movement then you know the truth more. Truth About Health/Drugs Industry Because Of It Your Life At High Risk The drug industry is a 1/2 trillion dollars a year worldwide conglomerate. Almost 300 billions dollars just in North America. That is really big business. What would happen if everyone were well? There is no money in health. You see, good health makes a lot of sense but it doesn't make a lot of dollars. Because everything they do is toxic. Every drug they use, prescription drugs, all drugs are liver toxic, bar none. If you've had amalgam fillings put in your mouth by dentists. It is highly toxic. There's cancer because most of the chemos are themselves carcinogens. To view the tumor as the cancer and we know the tumor is not the cancer. The cancer industry is 200 billions dollars a year. The more work they get, the more profit there is. You have to dismantle; If the truth ever came out about what we would need to do. 30% of people of females in America are at risk of getting, will get cancer of the breast. The ones that are already dead have been grossly mistreated by the medical profession and by the government that supposedly is supposed to encourage free research and development of all possibilities. Why would medical doctors who studied medicine and practice medicine and are heavily funded by pharmaceutical companies why would they go and look into vitamins? That they never had the answer orthomolecular. And as more and more of our population start taking their health into their own hands, there's going to be even more and more of changes. It can't go on the way it is. The system is failing apart. We must make nutrition the primary prevention strategy for the population. You are what you eat. You are everything that you have ever done to yourself. The choices you make directly affect the outcome of your life. - (Food Matters Documentary in Netflix) 😊 Well, I truly love God. I am not religious but very spiritual person. So, I believe 1) Religion is the beliefs in someone experiences But spirituality is having my own experiences. The mainstream religions people promote religious ideology by giving guidelines and guide but In my spiritual life; I do not want anyone or anything between God and me to restrict my freedom to worship God. 2) We do not need any authorities to do good work. The god work is the good work always. In contrast; organised mainstream religions are claiming that they have the authorities to do God works as leaders so on. 3) God is not capable of doing wrong thing, change the past for us and create anything out of nothing for us. Nothing means not anything. So, even God is limited. The mainstream religious people believe that God is unlimited 4) God wants us to take responsibilities for our righteousness life but not for all the consequences of our actions because they are continued to exist among us. So, How can god punish us for all our consequences? The mainstream religious people believe we are full of sins because of all our actions. 5) Freewill is an illusion. People always choose the perceived path of greatest pleasure. So, we do not have choices all the time. In contrast teachings of the mainstream religions are promoting people to do god's will always because we all have choices of freewill always. 6) We can not separate everything into groups. So, everything for good and evil and there's no success and failure for everything. If everything is real then real things can not be threatened. Once you come to understand that God/The Holy Spirit is in each of us, You will no longer need a Book to tell you how to live. Then why we need religious scriptures? The Virtue is the expression of the basic goodness in our actions. The Basic goodness is the fundamental worthiness of every individuals. We are worthy to God always in everything. 7) Beliefs in a cruel God makes a cruel man. No matter what; every living creatures has the right to live and What makes their life cheap? Everything depends on everything. Nothing too big or too small in value. We can not love and hate at the same time; Being a vegetarian means love without cruelty happily. The mainstream religious people are killing people and sacrificing animals in the name of God. They promote God's cruel punishments. The Punishment is endless for Sinners/Devil according to religious scriptures. But God is love always. Overcome hate with love. If all religions for peace, unity? No way. Because they are not for peace. 8) Well, The God gave us everything to go from moment to moment in our lives as we do our part and pray only to thank god then the Love is in progress. The Love is always for everyone. We are always worthy of the God's love. Our greatest fear is; not to be loved by anyone but we are all loved by someone. When we eliminate all our unnecessary differences among us then true peaceful life is possible with the true love. If we can't find the peace within ourselves then we will never find it anywhere else. 9) This is the Fight for independence and freedom of humanity to worship God freely without religious guide and guidelines to restrict us. Unnecessarily, We do not want third party controls over us in anything ; especially in spirituality. 10) Revive Survive Thrive. Sincerely, The Real Peacemaker against religious oppression. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpPZdKuDm8h-rJY kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnqteX2webaWiK8 kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6rbk5ejdtN8mas kzbin.info/www/bejne/rX3dlpShgKhpnKc kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmnZeZRur6lqoLs kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3enlmihirqsipI ,,

Doesn't Hebrews 11 teach us that our faith in true doctrines should not be based on evidence or worldly proof for events and occurrences? Not saying I completely disagree with some of the proposed flaws that mortal men have in their interpretations, dealings with their fellow man, and doctrinal presuppositions, but this entire video is predicated on the idea that Mormonism can't be true because evidence is not their to confirm it's legitimacy. However, the very definition of faith is the "substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). So, that says that true faith is not based on worldly supporting evidence and that true faith cannot be proved by things that can be seen. Jesus Himself even declares to Thomas that the only reason he (and presumably many others) even have faith is because they sought and found evidence to hold that faith up, and that unless God gives them that evidence they will refuse to have faith in Him. We are told to not be like Thomas, yet this video seems to be saying that the only way to look upon spiritual/ faith-based matters should be as Thomas did, refusing to have faith unless the evidence be shown.

@@gkkenobi3988 Anything you have a perfect knowledge of with you have no faith in. Faith requires hope, if you have evidence of something been true you have no reason to hope, since you have no hope you can't have faith. The closer to a perfect knowledge of something you have the less and weaker your faith is because you have no reason to hope, less hope, weaker is your faith. The scriptures say again and again that miracles and mysteries shall be revealed according to faith, not according to evidence. Those who require evidence have a great lack of faith. Anyway, nearly everything you all claim is evidence that The Book of Mormon is not of God has been getting passed around for over a century and is well out of date. Possible archeology has been found, DNA, Book of Abraham proven possibly true and so on. Anything you call evidence can always be proven as false evidence in the future. That's why it is plain foolish to base our decisions of what's true and false on evidence like the natural man does. Everything I believe is because of faith, I've seen lots of videos like these and thanks to the strength of my faith in Christ I know not to heed unto them. The truth is manifested by the Spirit of God, not by visual evidences or the natural man.

Daniel Moore That is not the biblical definition of faith. The Greek word Pistis does not mean belief without evidence. I have hope because I believe in the resurrection of the dead. Why do I believe that? Because the evidence supports it. If there are no good reasons to belief in a certain worldview, then I will not believe in it.

@@danielmoore4024 In the definition Hebrews 11:1 gives us, it tells us faith is substance and evidence. The evidence points to something we can't see and must hope for. Take for example wind: we cannot see wind, but there is undeniable evidence the wind exists because of how it visibly moves things and feels. Likewise, although I've never physically seen Jesus risen from the dead with a pierced side, I have evidence (through historical documents and an empty tomb) that He is risen. What my faith is in is invisible (not seen). The evidence for these unseen things however can be processed by our senses. The disciples themselves testified of visible evidence in the lifetime of other eyewitnesses that could have falsified their claims. Why would they do so if we're to have "blind" faith? (See 1 John 1:1-3, 2 Peter 1:16-21, 1 Cor. 15:1-8, etc.). Hope this clarifies Biblical faith.

And Joseph Smith was from the 19th century? This is a stumbling block for you? I can not imagine then how huge of a stumbling block it must be for you to read the King James Bible, and not hear it instead in the 1st century GREEK in which it was written and spoken. You are hung up on the linguistics of the Book of Mormon and you haven't even mentioned the Bible. Inconsistent application of concern here... misplaced concern actually. By feeding your doubts you keep looking at things that don't even matter in the big picture, even for the Bible.

@@danielmoore4024 I question the Mormon deity's knowledge of the future because apparently he could not stop the church from going into apostasy for 1800 years and then secretly chose to reveal himself to a man named Joseph Smith in a completely different part of the world, West New York America, and then what ended up happening is that Joseph ended up losing 116 pages of his own revelation. " he couldn't say what he already said because they were not his words." That is the exact proof that he was lying! Joseph Smith couldn't reproduce these 116 pages and the reason he couldn't do this is because he was making it all up as he went along and if the pages were ever recovered and what he revealed was held up against the new pages it would be found to be fraudulent. In fact the proof that Joseph Smith is a false prophet is self-evident in the Book of Abraham which was proven to be a fraudulent translation years after his death.

Jesus said in John 3:15-18 that those who believe in him will not be condemned but will receive eternal life. God is so holy and so good, that that one time that I lied was incredibly evil when compared to how good and holy God is. He has a moral law written on every heart. The Ten Commandments, don't lie, don't steal, Jesus said looking with lust is comiting adultery in your heart and that hating someone in your heart is where murder starts. If you've ever done one of these just once, you have broken God's law, and he is so good and holy that our breaking of his law earned us death. That is the bad news. The good news is that Jesus took my death penalty punishment for my sins upon himself in my place on the cross. He died for my sins, when he had no sins of his own to be punished for. He then rose on the third day and offers forgiveness and everlasting life to all who repent and believe in him. All other religions are about what you do to get into heaven, Christianity is base d on what Jesus already did for you. I know I am going to heaven because of what Jesus did for me, and my faith in him has saved me, not my own works. Ephesians 2:8-9 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. Romans 10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. John 6:40 - And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” Jesus died once for all sin, yet that doesn't mean we shouldn't repent and confess our sin when we do sin. Faith that produces works saves. If you really believe in what Jesus did for you, you are transformed by the work of the Holy Spirit within you that creates a new heart that convicts you of sin when you do sin, leading to repentance.

Not so fast. The historicity of the Book of Mormon record is crucial to people who rely on facts, those who refuse to exercise faith in that which is untrue. “doctrinal fiction” has no normative value in fact-loving lives. Too often the undergirding assumption of those who cast doubt on the historicity of the Book of Mormon, in whole or in part, is a denial of the supernatural and a refusal to admit of revelation and predictive prophecy. Martin Harris found how real revelation works when he substituted a rock for a seer stone. Only scripture-writings and events and descriptions from real people at a real point in time, people who were moved upon and directed by divine powers-can serve as a revelatory channel, enabling us to hear and feel the word of God.

Your accusation about the animals in the book of Mormon is generalized and makes it sound complete different then it really is, what about the elephants? Did you read the book?

Why did Joseph Smith plagiarize chapters from the New Testament that had not even been written in 600 BC?

@@fayelewis5476 John 10:16 "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd" Christ visited the people in the Americans after his resurrection and that visit is recorded in the book of Mormon. He taught them what is called the sermon on the mount and it is recorded in the book of Mormon almost word for word. So if you are of the option that Joseph Smith made it all up then yes he copied the Bible. If you are interested in really knowing if it is a true recorded inspired by God then suggest you read it for yourself and ask God if it is true.

@@tylermckinnon5496 I have read the Book of Mormon and God has told me it is not true. I should point out that I do not pray to your heavenly father who was once a man. 7, p. 333). "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s . . . " (D&C 130:22). I worship the true and living God the Father who was never once a man. Job 9:32 “In truth I know that this is so; But how can a man be in the right [b]before God? “For He is not a man as I am that I may answer Him, That we may go to court together. "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." - John 4:24 A spirit does not have flesh and bones" - Luke 24:39 I Timothy 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. The true and living God was never once a man. He is an uncreated being. The true and living God has always existed. He is the first, uncaused cause of everything you see. He lives outside of time, space and matter because He created time, space and matter. He is self-existent. He has no mother or father, does not need air, food, water, sex, sleep, shelter, clothing, etc.. He is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, immutable, transcendent, infinitely holy, eternal and so much more. The highest heavens cannot contain Him. The true and living God created Adam out of the dust of the ground. No wife needed. No pre existence. ****** John 10:16 is referring to Gentiles that would become Christians. In verse 16, Jesus refers to the “other sheep,” and those can only be sheep that are outside of Israel, in other words, Gentiles. But the Gentiles who would follow Him are no less sheep than the true sheep of Israel. In fact, Jesus makes it clear that the Gentile sheep would also hear His voice and follow Him, and, eventually, there would be only one flock and one Shepherd. This is the mystery of the universal body of Christ, the church, which Paul refers to in Ephesians 3:6, “This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.” A mystery in Scripture is usually something not revealed previously, and this mystery-one universal church with both Jews and Gentiles brought together in one body in the Messiah-was so shocking to the Pharisees that they accused Jesus of being a demon-possessed lunatic (John 10:20-21). Why don't you worship your Creator?

@@fayelewis5476 I am interested in knowing what worship means to you. How do you worship your creator? I'm not trying to imply anything I really want to know how should I worship my creator. I guess I think of worshipping as emulating Christ because he is the example that was set for us.

@@tylermckinnon5496 The true worship of God comes from the redeemed heart of a man or woman who has been justified before God by faith and who is trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness of sins. How can one worship the God of heaven if his sin has not been dealt with? Worship of God comes from a heart that desires Him alone. This was precisely where the Samaritan people erred; they sought to worship both God and idols (2 Kings 17:28-41), and this is reaffirmed by the Lord Jesus Christ when He discourses on the subject of true worship with the Samaritan woman who came to fetch water from the well. “You Samaritans worship what you do not know” (John 4:22). These people worshiped God “half-heartedly” because their total affection was not set on God. We might not assent to having physical idols, like the Samaritans did, but what absorbs our will, our time, our resources most of all? Is it careers, material possessions, money, health, even our families? True worship of God is the desire to continue to build up our knowledge of God. We need to fill our minds constantly with the things of God; God should always be on our mind, and everything we do should be done with reference to Him (Colossians 3:17; 1 Corinthians 10:31). It is interesting that the Greek word for “worship” in Romans 12:1 can also mean “service.” So, our daily lives should also be considered as worship. Every day we are to offer ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. “It is a redeemed heart, occupied with God, expressing itself in adoration and thanksgiving.” A. W. Tozer said, “True worship is to be so personally and hopelessly in love with God, that the idea of a transfer of affection never even remotely exists.” www.gotquestions.org/worship-God.html
