Many Germans speak English so I would not be too worried. It is helpful to know a few words of German. Ein bier bitte is my go-to.

there were no kings of Baden-Württemberg. BW is formed of Württemberg, Württermberg-Hohenzollern and Baden in modern age. ;-)
