I really appreciate a reviewer that can say "I think this is a good game, I did not like it" a game can be great well made visually impressive but just not for you and more reviewers need to be able to say that

But also sometimes the “I did not like it for these reasons...” is all a reviewer needs to say. It is up to the viewer to decide if the reasons given are enough to keep them away from a game. There is no such thing as an objectively good or bad game.
@alanolson65354 жыл бұрын
@@spacemanspiff2137 I would disagree I think that there are objectively good and bad games. not that you cant have fun with a bad game or not enjoy a good game. and some times you can't even put your finger on why you don't like a game. I don't like borderlands 3 I should like it, I have liked the first thee and have replayed them recently I just don't like three but it seems like a good game I would not say don't buy it because I don't like it I would say its a good game but I don't like it. Not being able to say "I don't like" it is part of the reason that games reviews are on a 7.5-10 scale at this point

Arlo: Small suggestion. It'd be really appreciated if you wrote out the titles of the games somewhere on the screen, or at least the description. I wanted to check out that tourist game, but I got a bit confused trying to find it since it's actually written as, "The Touryst". Didn't take too much googling to find it- just needed to look up "nintendo the tourist"- but for the sake of convenience I think putting a written-out list somewhere would be a good idea. Your Ori and the Blind Forest playthrough is way overdue man!
@jimmymullen62534 жыл бұрын
Legitimate question - am I the only one that thinks that Ori’s combat is absolutely insufferable? I played Hollow Knight first and was super excited to play Ori because people said that both games are great modern examples of metroidvanias done right, but with Hollow Knight, the combat was so crisp and clearly telegraphed that I always felt in control and like all mistakes were my fault and with Ori I felt like I am mindlessly mashing the x button while in vague proximity to an enemy. Is there something I’m missing or is the combat as I described throughout the whole game?
@landonsmith6094 жыл бұрын
Jimmy Mullen its like that sometimes - its sequel, Will of the Wisps is much better in that regard
@cyberfoxvii62534 жыл бұрын
@@jimmymullen6253 You're not the only one who thinks so, but I'm not in that camp. Do you have the Bash skill yet? Once you have that, reflecting projectiles and flinging enemies into spike traps become viable options (it's also where the game's platforming gets interesting). And obtained soon after is Stomp, a heavy-hitting AoE option that doesn't consume energy, unlike Charge Flame. Personally, I always had a lot of fun vaulting off projectiles and slamming down from above, among other such maneuvers; you just need to remember to actually use the powers you have (even Charge Flame to some degree... though, put a resource cost on any ability and I'll feel discouraged from using it...). Definitive Edition (which I assume you're playing) adds a couple options, too, past the dark area under Sunken Glades. I've also heard that the sequel revamps combat considerably, so if the first game's offerings don't cut it for you... well, sorry about that, but maybe Will of the Wisps can deliver where Blind Forest couldn't.

More of these! I feel like mini reviews like this explain enough to make me interested, but don't go too much where I feel like there's nothing I don't know about the game before delving into it. I also really, really appreciate that you can say "I started it and I just c o u l d n o t." I feel like most reviewers don't post a review unless it's done, but I have so many games in my backlog that I started and never finished because I just.... couldn't get into it. And no one ever talks about games like that because they think it's not an opinion worth having. I super enjoy this, more of this.

Great format. Much more interesting than focusing on one game for 20 minutes imo. 10/10

this type of stuff is my favorite aspect of your channel and I was kinda missing it, so im glad you brought this segment back after turning viewers like me onto titles like Ittle Dew.

I love it! 5 games in 10-15 minutes. It's a nice way to hear about obscure titles we might not have played otherwise. And not just hear about them like Nintendo does, but give an honest review. Yes. More please.

Love this mini series! Been watching for 3 years now and I love all your content, but this 5 (anything) hyper is very awesome. We both have very similar opinions on games and the industry..... but we can both get preachy and this allows your intellect to shine brighter on topics better than some of your longer videos (even though I like the longer personal ones) stay safe thanks for the content homie

Please keep these up! The Switch has an overwhelmingly lot of indie games on there so it's great to see what some of them are like

I really like this series. Theres so many hidden gems on the Eshop that having a bunch of mini reviews kinda shines a light on them and lets people see what its all about.

Keep doing these videos dude, nobody talks about these little games and they're so easy to overlook.

I like the fact that you look at the eShop. I want a fat eShop collection, but I don’t know where to start. Since the closure of the Wii Shop Channel, I’ve felt that it’s really important to preserve these games, so I’ve tried delving into them but I just need more to look at. Please continue this series.
