Ive owned 9 JDM cars in Canada. RHD becomes second nature. You do hit the wipers when you mean to hit the signals if your going back and forth from RHD to LHD. But these cars are so small RHD has never bothered me. Take care of the car. Not to many clean classic evos kicking around anymore. Even in Japan. As for the different fuel in Japan. They use RON as there unit of measurement whereas we in north America use octane so the math isnt one to one. People see 100 RON in Japan and freak out but thats basically 95 octane. If your running 93 your perfectly fine. The difference will come with the elevatiom difference from Japan to wherever you live. So getting a tune woukdnt hurt. Ive never ever tuned a JDM car and ran 91-93 and never had an issue in the 10+ years ive driven JDM. If your struggling to find a way to tune you can swap the ECU to a 8/9. Or use EcuTek, a plug and play that allows you to live tune super easy. If you have an atmospheric BOV without a tune it will stall on you randomly. You need a recirc BOV or stick with factory. Also depending on the intake if you run an aftermarket intake without a tune it will also run a little lean and may lead to stalling issues.

same here, if you have the same car in both LHD and RHD then it would be a problem but I've no problem switching back and forth And as of fueling, if the car is heavily modified, it's still safer to get a new ecu and tune it on whatever highest octane you have, especially if you live in california and the highest here is only 91. For a stock car, 91 should be good.

Hey, I run a evo 4-6 shop here in the US. That clutch noise is not normal and i dont know of any aftermarket clutch or throwout bearing that sounds like that for these cars, unless itssomething old and no longer on the market. Anyway, just giving you a heads up. Somethings definitely not right. Def check the throwout bearing. Good luck!

Oh man. You should def get a tune before you drive it much more. Driving the car on 93 is honestly pretty dangerous, esp if it has an arftermarket tune. I love to recommend haltech, but if you’re trying to keep it all original, i would actually suggest Link. They have an option that you put in the factory ecu box that mounts like factory, so unless you crack open the ecu box you wont even know it has a standalone. It also popular with tuners right now. Anyway if you have any evo 4-6 questions reach out and im happy to assist!

Exact same cars mechanically. Just different front bumper, wing, the seats are silver in the 5 and inverted pattern blueish purple in the 6, 5 has white gauges, 6 has blue. Besides that identical cars.

@@bla855 These are 20+ year old cars. How the previous owners treaded them, what was maintained/replaced, mileage, ect. No two cars are the same after 20 years. There are countless parts on vehicles. Bushings, plastic bits, gaskets, ect all wear differently. I have owned and driven about 7 evo 4, 5, 6. They are absolutely the exact same cars. 4 being slightly different mechanically.

Bro… you’re hating and blaming the car… the wheels should be 17x8…Mitsubishi knew what they were doing… you seem to have a major problem, but it’s definitely NOT the car.. I have a mint condition beautiful EVO 5 but it’s driven in the right circumstances..🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
