Thing is too she still had a bit in reserve too which is the annoying thing. It's literally what she is now but to the extreme in keeping her voice in reserve. Another thing I strongly believe that the February butterfly returns should have been part of the caution tour and given her voice more rest at the start of they year. This is back when rest was her biggest friend. It's such a shame we never got the 2019 Christmas tour vocals for the caution tour

That’s how I feel about Rainbow Tour vocals lol. I went to see that tour as a kid and remember being disappointed she kept changing bits or missing bits. But looking back now I absolutely loooove the Rainbow vocals (compared to what we have now - a lipped tour)

2024 is being the most agonizing year for me as a lamb, because Mariah stopped singing live and has dedicated herself to pure lip sync, I never thought she would get to such a degree, but it is better to justify than to do things and she continues adding concerts to do the same, the truth is I want to understand her but at the same time it is difficult for me.

I think it’s because she wouldn’t have have been able to sing live or record new playback even if she lowered it to 2 semitones (the belts would still be F5s) so if she’s going to use the studio track anyway she probably decided she might as well keep them in original key

Hmm that’s a close call. But I would consider those performances impromptu/optional since she only did it like once out of every five or six shows. So she would have the choice to only do it when she felt her whistles were good, which I think effectively makes that whistle not required. Plus it’s only a snippet which lowers the audience’s expectation.

I ask this... does Mariah even enjoy performing anymore? I have only seen her perform in New York during her Christmas concerts at The Beacon Theater, her Caution tour, and *for the first time ever* during her Adventures of Mimi Tour in 2006 at MSG. I do not know for a fact she lipped anything or not, but yes, at times, vocals seemed suspiciously strong. I would rather hear LIVE vocals at lowered keys, bad notes, and pitchy ones, than lipped ones. I miss the old Mariah.

It's similar to how she started lipping Dreamlover later on, or how she lipped AIWFCIY for many years before she started doing it live. I saw her in Vegas from the very side where you could just see her mouth moving, and it was pretty life. Of course there was some whistles lipped, but it was pretty live. I was pretty impressed with her vocal condition in 2024 because she really seen her heart out and she looked really focused on hitting the right notes at the concert
