This is great, I think I will pick up one of these tools. However, my struggle is that my TPMS sensors are continuously reading ~4-5lbs lower than actual (based on readings from both of my air tools). This tool isn't going to calibrate that piece, correct?
@Overlanding4Fun Жыл бұрын
The tool doesn’t calibrate the TPM sensors, but I would recommend you reaching out to your dealer and have them tested and or replaced.

How often do you rotate?
@Overlanding4Fun2 жыл бұрын
Good question, it depends on the type of tires and the driving conditions that you are experiencing. For example, MT tires are made with a softer compound then AT tires, so they could wear down slight faster then the other. The general rule of thumb is to rotate the tires when you change your oil.
@elviscastillophoto2 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to reset the TPMS sensors with FORScan?
@Overlanding4Fun2 жыл бұрын
That is a good question and I am going to say, not that I am aware of. FORScan is a powerful tool, but you need to excite the TPMS sensor through centrifugal force, that is how the computer normally receives tire pressure data from the sensors that it is aware of or an external tool that can excite the TPMS sensor in an electromagnetic field so the computer can read the SN of the sensor while the computer is in TPMS learning mode.

I drove 20k miles already with 4 tire rotation. The tires are pretty good. Can I start including 5th tire for rotation from now on?
@Overlanding4Fun Жыл бұрын
Good question. The tire experts would tell you no. In an article that I read, they gave the example of a pair of shoes and replacing one shoe because it had had a hole in the sole, leaving you with two different wear patterns. With that being said, i could see the argument going both ways. Tire wear is dependent upon the driving conditions, the condition of the vehicle and the habits of the driver. 20K on my tires may look different then 20K on your tires. I would look at the condition of the tires on the vehicle and compare them to the spare. The tread depth of Goodyear Territory MT tire that comes on the Sasquatch Bronco, is 13.25 32nds. If the tires are in good shape and the difference in tread depth is not to far apart, I am sure it would be fine. However, I must preface that I would discuss this with a qualified professional before rotating the spare in at this point. When you do replace your tires, I would recommend rotating all 5 tires on a scheduled recommend by the manufacturer. Thank you for watching the video.

I was wondering if the spare had the TPM already installed
@Overlanding4Fun2 жыл бұрын
It does. You will need to reprogram the on board computer for the 4 tires that are mounted each time you rotate the spare in to service.
@outlawedmedia43362 жыл бұрын
@@Overlanding4Fun Lol That "learning sequence" for the bronco was laughable. You'd think they could just put the TPM programming somewhere in that dash. That's why we have fancy computer screens now, we shouldn't need to do silly button dances anymore.

Where did you jack from?
@Overlanding4Fun2 жыл бұрын
On the rear axle just inside of each wheel and on the frame just behind each front wheel. You will have a lot of travel in the front suspension, so I would recommend not lifting the front any higher than you need to remove the wheel.
@americanfilmproduction7714 Жыл бұрын
Just a quick question what is the torque spec for the rear tire mount when you are putting the tire back on? Is it 60lbs? I'm pretty sure it's not going to be hundred because it is going to be mounted on that plastic piece of the back hahaha. By the way, thanks a lot for the great video.

@Overlanding4Fun Жыл бұрын
is the tire you are having issues with the spare? You might need to drive it around for a couple of blocks to generate some juice for the sensor.
@bluford69492 жыл бұрын
Is the programming tool actually necessary to register the TPMS? I have seen posts on facebook that said the spare tire when rotated in, will sync up automatically after you drive a short distance.
@Overlanding4Fun2 жыл бұрын
Good question @Bluford. Each manufacture has a different process. With the Bronco specifically, if you do a 4 tire rotation, you will not need to run the relearn process. The computer will be able to determine what position the wheel is at. When you rotate the 5th tire in or replace the sensor, you will need to run the relearn process. The good news is, the tool that I used, is around $20 USD and it will more then pay for itself after a few tire rotations.
@jasonwalker263910 ай бұрын
You do not need the tool. Even with 5 tire rotation, Ford will sync up automatically after a quick drive.
@jasonwalker263910 ай бұрын
You do not need a special tool when doing a 5 tire rotation - the Bronco is smart enough to match the tires up. I was shocked, but this is true and I tested it myself.
@Overlanding4Fun9 ай бұрын
