Love your commentary. Being British gives you an objective point of view. That fact, allows a fresh view compared other reporting. I'm an Australian and recognise the similarities between Brits/Aussies and see how different our countries are compared to the US. I fear for the US but how it will affect the rest of the world. Americans have a broad and deep history of letting people in politics get away with too much. Nixon should have gone to Prison for Watergate. Ford should have been impeached for pardoning Nixon. Reagan should have gone to prison for the Iran-Contra scheme and for negotiating with Iran about their American hostages before Reagan was even elected President. Bush Sr. should have gone to prison for the 1st Gulf War. Bill Clinton should have been removed from office for the Lewinski affair (as well as all the other affairs he had while Governor of Arkansas) because it made him vulnerable to blackmail. There were also several Republicans who should have lost their seats in the House and Senate for going after the Clintons on the Whitewater land deal. Bush Jr. should have gone to prison for the 2nd Gulf War when we were supposed to be only going after Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan. Several Republicans in the House and Senate should have lost their seats for their obsession with trying to remove Hillary Clinton from her position in the Obama cabinet, simply because they wanted to destroy her chances to run for President. And of course Trump should have gone to prison for trying to extort the Ukrainian President as well as being bought and paid for by Russia/Putin. I could go back to the Vietnam and Korean wars, as well as point out smaller political players who didn't end up in prison for doing illegal things ... but I won't make this any longer than it is now.
