Devout Catholic Leonard Leo is a knight of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, a Catholic lay religious order. In October 2022, Leo was awarded the John Paul II New Evangelization Award by the Catholic Information Center in Washington, DC, a Paulist organization affiliated with Opus Dei. He's the Catholic who installed the Catholic Supreme Court justices for the purpose of overturning Roe v. Wade. The current Court has six Catholics in the majority: Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett, plus a liberal Catholic (Justice Sotomayor), a Jew (Justice Kagan), and a Protestant (Justice Ketanji Brown). Few people have questioned why the Supreme Court does not reflect the religious diversity of the population of the United States.

Believe me, my personal view was very similar to yours when faced with a personal decision at a very bad time in my life and fortunately I gave birth to a wonderful child. However, that was my personal decision, and my child was healthy and so was I. If it had been otherwise, I don’t know if I would have chosen differently. It all comes back to the the fact that you are trying to insist that your opinion become law. It also amazes me that many people who oppose abortion then believe that the death penalty should be expanded to cover things that may not be currently illegal. actually, christian matrimony was the best thing to happen to women. instead of being concubine number 17 they go to be in a relationship with a man who loved them and whom most of the time, so long as they weren;t nobility, they married out of their own free will.
