The stock clutch in my 15 PP went south just past turn 11 at CMP in April. I mean smoke pouring out from underneath the car and barely able to engage at all. I limped it to ProDyno in Fort Mill (over an hour away!) and Dan hooked me up with a McLeod RST. I was back on the track 5 days later after driving it in the city to break it in. The thing is a beast! Love it!

The Blowfish shifter mount solves the problem with high RPM shifting. The shifter belongs mounted to the trans not the body. We never had problems shifting top loaders back in the day. The TR6060 does solve the shifting problems for $2,500+. the Blowfish mount solves the problem for $249.

I rebuilt my t56 with all the goodies very similar to yours. They can hold up pretty good. A few vette guys pulling 1.29 60fts with them, but t56 parts are becoming more and more scarce (good luck finding a 30 spline output shaft). If this one eventually goes, I'll step up to the tr6060. When looking side by side on a bench, the tr6060 is wayyy beefier and has the squirter on 1st gear but you can add that on the t56. Good tech as usual. 👍🏼

@BurnoutsAndBourbon7 жыл бұрын
Austin Tran I would be interested in this as well. Am looking at putting a rough active exhaust and am debating which type of pipe I want
@larrytemen47897 жыл бұрын
Austin Tran the xpipe is for a more raspy sound and higher rpm power. H pipe is a deeper growl and good for mid range power. our coyotes love the xpipe. I've been thought both kinds. (both cat delete) and the x pipe made almost 7 more hp in the upper rpms than the H pipe from (5200-7800 rpms) if you want a really unique deep note, shoot for an H pipe. but take a 4" pipe and oval it. cut out in between where the H section goes and weld that in. I wish I was able to keep the sound clip but that was destroyed along with the phone it was on. trust me, sounded different from any coyote on the road. it was paired with stock manifolds, pypes cat delete pipes and H pipe (original 3" H section cut out and 4" ovaled installed, opened up both sides of the mating surface as well then welded all.the way around) borla over the axle pipes to Borla ATAK mufflers. UNREAL sound. mix between coyote and the old fox body 302...idk how to explain it. but it sounded mean.
@andrewpolino7 жыл бұрын
Austin Tran Damn that sounds awesome. I love the power of my X pipe but I know the H pipes have a better more throaty sound. I'm catless full exhaust as well so you know the rasp is real....The Procharger loves the X pipe though. Not sure how much of a noticeable power difference it would really be to switch it to an H pipe
@larrytemen47897 жыл бұрын

Alex, in the beginning of the video you said "when you get to 700hp" the MT82 is no good basically. did you mean rwhp? or crank. I assume rwhp. no one really goes by crank anymore. Ben actually built me an MT82 and I opted for the extra billet internal plate that holds the 2 gear shafts together to prevent pushing away from one another. also got the RST and matching aluminum flywheel paired with a driveshaft shop carbon fiber 1100 hp shaft. that shaft will help banging gears at higher rpms correct? and not exploding gears in the box? I know you're busy and probably won't respond. but input would be great. thanks.
