Finally its NOT an F-150 or Jeep Wrangler. Love the video as always. Come to realize a new DD radio in a modern day car is quite expensive. Nearly $800-1000 or so.

I noticed the center channel was removed. How does it connect at the radio? Could they have left it plugged in and used the aftermarket radio? Also, how are the door speakers and dashboard speakers connected? Individual channels, in series or parallel to the radio?
@FiveStarCarStereoInc6 жыл бұрын
This just had the basic radio. There was no center channel from the factory. The mid and tweeter are in parallel from the factory. If it would of had the JBL system it would have been active.

Hello fellas, love the channel and all its content. Wish I could let you get your hands on my current audio build..but guess can’t have everything. QuickQuestion: do or can a capacitor go bad? Can they be tested? I have a cap that’s about 14yrs old, but only had about 12hrs of use. I hate wasting and don’t like spending money if not needed. How can I go about checking? I’ve not seen the little transistor I see others using to charge their caps, so don’t know if that is problem. I tried putting the cap on a c-tek charger, but no luck- it will light the lcd up and bring volts to 14.6 before the charger clicks red and says bad battery. I’m not sure if that is because it’s technically not a true battery. Thanks, keep up great work
@FiveStarCarStereoInc6 жыл бұрын
Yes they can go bad. You can you a light bulb on the positive input( between wire and cap) to charge. The light will go out when charged. It the cap is full, you can put the same bulb across the terminals to dis charge it. Bulb will light up and slowly go out. Bulb must be a 12 volt bulb.

@JennyMovieMemories5 жыл бұрын
walter Williams my 08 camry I replaced the head unit with a pioneer avh 1550-nex, to keep control of my steering wheel I got an ASWC-1 steering wheel adapter. Super easy to install when I replaced the head unit, and programmed itself. I know you asked his 6 months ago but hey never late than never huh?

I am running an external amp that I have previously hooked up to my factory speakers with a LOC. If I upgrade to the Maestro, can I just leave my factory speakers alone that are already connected to the amp and leave the speaker wires from the maestro t-harness capped off? I will be running high level inputs to the amp with rcas from my Kenwood.

Sounds kind of right. So the new radio power will be connected to nothing, then yes.

As soon as someone buys an Alpine Halo, wants them to install it, and happens to also drive a 2018 Toyota Camry, they'll probably film it.

Does anyone know the best line output converter for adding a subwoofer to my factory radio? I have a 2015 Chrysler 200 S and don’t know which will be the best for my vehicle since I can’t put an aftermarket radio in. I would lose my climate controls and car settings if I modded my dash to fit an aftermarket.

Im going to say it because like it or not your channel is world wide and for example we down under in Australia drive on the other side of the car so saying front, rear driver or front rear passenger is not correct as far as speaker colour outputs. I know you know this but for the community of audio lovers that are not install techs like us but whom take our word seriously would in fact do this job wrong. The harness's and colour codes are universal driver seating position is not. Just my tip of the day. Love the channel and me with 20 years installing learn from you guys, especially product reviews as of course most commonly you get the goodies before I do.
