The chrome handles on my 2015 Lexus GX 460 were cracked and ugly. Further, the child safety lock on one of the doors was non-functional. I fixed my problem myself for cheap. In this video I'll show demonstrate a number of ways to resolve this problem. First, you can paint (or plasti-dip or wrap) the chrome portion of the handle, even while the handles remains attached to the vehicle. Second, you can replace only the chrome portion of the handle. Third, you can cover the entire handle with an aftermarket cover. Fourth, you can replace the entire handle assembly. With this approach, you can even swap the front door original RFID sensors to the new handles. This DIY video also shows you how to replace the entire door lock actuator, if needed. See links below for parts to do all of the above.
