Sir, I owe you a debt of gratitude. I am no mechanic but your explaintion and little tips like the pieces of paper to hold nuts is invaluable. I have a 2008 Seabring with the same code. Watching your video gave me the courage to do the job. I even want to a junk yard and took manifold actuator off and replaced it on my car.for a bit more practice while at the junk yard. At the end , I missed a couple of wired connections, a day or 2 of trail and error and my car is now fixed. Proud to have done it by my self with your instructions. Saved hundreds of dollars. I wish you and your family health ,wealth and happiness !! Thank you !

Great solution. I was able to clear the trouble code p2017 by removing the position sensor only and applying the WD-40. It cleared after a few hours of driving. These dealerships try to get over on us for simple repairs. God bless you!

Great video, this answered my question - How hard is it to remove the intake manifold? The best part is the appeal at the end. It's nice that you try to help people repair their car for very little money, but even better that you offer the best advice for broken lives, and it is totally FREE. Thanks oldskool funk.

Thank You! I took off the part, without touching any of the manifold, just moved anything that was in my way to get to the thing. It was filty, so I WD-40'ed the living stuff out of it, and cleaned it, as well as the other part that goes in to move the vents open and closed (which worked fine, turned easy and I heard it open and close well), used my OBD reader to reset the engine light, and voila...drove it up and down the road and no check engine light!! All 83 lbs of this 60 yr old woman, thanks you!

I looked up this video since someone asked on your channel a month ago for this video. I gave him the link that you had already done it some months earlier. Smart of you to not assume you had to replace and that it just needed to get freed up. My buddy's charger needs a lot of cleaning in that area. Dodges gunk up fast in there. I especially liked the trick about the fuel injectors as I hadn't pulled Dodge injectors yet. On reinstallation, black then red, or revers on removal. Go in God, brother in Jesus Christ. Amen.

I have just tried it on December 7th, 2018 and it seems to work. I erase the error code a week ago and no engine warning light has turned on during the last seven days. I did not even have to remove the intake manifold. I just removed the intake flow valve (in less than 15 minutes), I sprayed it with a penetrating lubricant (creeper ... just like WD40) and the problem has been solved. Thank you OldSkool Funk for sound pieces of advice.

indeed, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! thanks so much for all your help! i cleaned out my maf sensor and also the throttle body intake then went on an hour long ride , all was good till service the engine light came on and didn't run right and i got the imrc stuck open code , i think it was p1518 and i took the idea of what you said of carbon buildup that can cause the stuck position , hindsight is 20/20 looking back i should have cleaned off the gunk spray and wipe it clean with the rag but instead i thought let it clean the inside a bit ( stupid move ) , after watching your vid i dumped a bottle of gum out tune up into the gas tank , took off the negative end of the battery cable off and then put it back on again for 10 minutes then started the car up ( service the engine light was gone ) took it for an italian tune up ( driving on open highway at very high speeds 65 - 80 more like 80 lol ) the engine light did not return, still to soon to tell if service engine light will come back on or no, but when i tell you she ran like a dream ( whereas before was very rough ) i mean it, just wow! resetting the car computer plus the gum out was perfect combo and of course our precious Lord Jesus, nothing belongs to us all has been gifted to us by Jesus including the air we breathe and our body. thanks a million brother keep pluggin the love !

Like everything except the part about the power steering pump removal and installation . . . You made the rest look like a piece of cake. Someone that doesn't realize you skipped over that part will be lost as soon as they look at the first nut on the passenger side of the manifold, down low - the one you dropped the nut on in the video. You cannot get the intake off without removing the power steering pump and all that requires. Other than that little bit, awesome video.
