Fix for WiFi and cellular reception issue after opening housing of Xiaomi Mi Max 2

This pin was missing on my phone after the fight to get the case open. A blob of foil fixed it. Brilliant. I also fixed my poor Bluetooth signal too. There were two damages foil contacts as you described for the GPS fix. I assume the other was for Bluetooth as everything working now. 👍

I tried your GPS fix and got a good result. I was going try this WiFi fix also, but I was worried about the foil being across the back of the battery, so instead I tried to lever the pin up to create a better contact. I had poor light and weak glasses so it was hard for me to see, but something "snapped" when I levered the pin, and it popped up higher than it should have. However the pin was still connected so I put the phone back together and everything still works. Phew.

don't have wifi on mi xiaomi mi 8, after screen replacement, everthing else work just fine... suspecting this is the problem but after dessasambly the xiaomi mi 8 have lots of pins that conect parts of the motherboar to the housing, don't know with one to chek

Is the pin on the phone there normally or is there? Will I put the pily on the battery cover and cover that little square?

Hi Aydin, I'm not 100% sure what you are asking but try to connect any remains of the pin connector (which should be there and visible) to the little square in the back housing with tinfoil. Make sure you don't put any glue directly on the pin or the little square as glue is a bad conductor. Good luck!
