Hi guys...I want to share with you how I fixed my annoying mid throttle oscillations / vibrations / jello on my Armattan Rooster BNF 5 inches (Igo @ 0:35 in HD and set full screen to see it better). I tryed many things and after many tests I found the solution. Maybe it can help some of you. Happy flying!

I know this is an old vid but you may have prevented me from retiring this frame for good. I got the bind and fly model as well. Armattan initially addressed this issue by offering a free set of replacement hardware. I actually received the replacement set and never bothered changing them. I had, however, never put a go pro on it. I started flying it again recently and OMG your story is mine! I recently did everything you mentioned. New Xing motors...the whole bit. Nothing has helped. Banging my head against the wall I found your vid. I found the replacement set and have replaced them all just now. Crossing my fingers! Thank you for this. EDIT: It worked!

Awesome video, with great info. Just started getting the mid throttle jello in my rooster. Glad I seen this. Was about to start messing with tune. So I'll do the screws now, because it was flying great, until about 4-5 packs ago.

Amazing! Thanks you for sharing this long way of investigative work! My Chameleon Ti has those mid throttle oscillations too, but it's a unibody and it has the newer screws on it for the frame. I will try to start experimenting with them a bit, wouldn't have that idea without your vid! =)

Good video, I love my Rooster but chased down the same issue. This is why it really pisses me off when people say the slop in the arms isn't a problem, I have to ask myself if these people have even flown a decent quad before or have ever flown with a go pro because mid throttle vibrations are the hardest thing to get rid of in the flight footage and very small things can make a difference.

Thanks for this. I will try it out too as I have not been able to get Oscillations out of my Rooster either! Anyone else had this bolt change fix their rooster? I've swapped all my arm screws out but there are still a few of the stock bolts left elsewhere in the frame... Cheers!

Unfortunately adding these same bolts didn't fix my Rooster but there may be something else rattling around in my frame. Thanks for the advice this video was still helpful to get me looking for the real problem in my frame! Cheers!

Nice work mate. Frames need to be fastened together really well with thread lock or the resonance causes all sorts of dramas in the video, I've battled this myself.

FullThrottle mmm I don't think is the gopro (if you've jello); anyway turn off the electronic stabilization (if you didn't) and change the SD card (give it a try). Btw replave those bad bolts and see how it goes...they sucks!

FullThrottle awesome vid: yes I can see oscillations and it doesn't seem pid related. You should change your bolts...I even changed my propellers/motors bolts in the past...try it!

PBFLY completamente d'accordo...con l'aumento della sensibilità delle FC aumenta anche la capacità richiesta nel settarlo a dovere. Se ti può essere utile, a volte ho risolto problemi di vibrazioni di questo tipo diminuendo la sensibilità (abbassando il gyro a 4/4 ad esempio e diminuendo il protocollo degli esc). Daje!

Ciao Alberto...per me il Chameleon è uno dei frame migliori in assoluto e difficilmente si può battere. Nonostante abbia rotto almeno 4 bottom plate su 2 chameleon che posseggo in 1 anno...ti posso assicurare che il corpo unico è anche la sua forza. Quindi non posso che consigliarti il Chameleon TI. Ad ogni modo, ora il Rooster viaggia come se fosse su binari ;-)

Same issues here those bolts are trash.. I was bending and breaking them on small crashes.. I still have jello because my mounting holes are bigger now due to those bolts bending so my arms get loose and vibrate.

Ciao Packy...il Wizard non ha un telaio super stabile quindi è probabile che non riesci a togliere tutte le vibrazioni. Io ho notato che alcuni telai, dopo che prendono un po' di botte, tendono a subire di più le vibrazioni perchè perdono la loro resistenza iniziale. A volte arriva il momento in cui i frame devono per forza di cose essere cambiati ;-)

Ne approfitto per chiederti un parere: è da un sacco di tempo che sto litigando con il tuning per togliere una fastidiosa vibrazione a mid throttle... c'ero riuscito (decentemente) ma non mi piaceva molto il suono dei motori e allora sono tornato sui miei passi per cercare un'altra soluzione... dopo 2 mesi di insuccessi ho deciso di tornare alla configurazione "buona" ma stavolta ho ancora montagne di jello... Ciao Packy, nel secondo video, dal suono mi sembra che stai andando con props sbilanciate...oppure con motori usurati...ad ogni modo, ad orecchio, in entrambi i video si sentono vibrazioni strutturali (motori consumati? viti poco serrate? telaio che ha preso batoste? props usate?). Nel primo video non vedi lo jello o non troppe oscillazioni, probabilmente perchè non c'era il sole. I PID c'entrano poco in questo caso.

Beekibye probably the old bolts lost their consistency...causing resonance during the flight (and those annoying oscillations) :-(

Hi Torban...yes...because Rooster arms tend to oscillate. Chameleon doesn't have this problem cause of the "one piece" main plate :-) Thanks for the sub!

Sleepwalker agree...based on my experience, on my chameleons, slighty damaged motors caused my mid throttle oscillations. You can solve it softmounting them or changing when they vibrate so much ;-)

Have the same shit but on armattan ti (raw footage: yadi.sk/i/jiHWPuAJKJmnLQ) have no idea how to fix this. I try different filters, use softmount for motors, playing with PID's without any luck.

​@@DavideFPV No, armattan ti has one piece solid frame it is not a rooster, there are no screws to mount an arm.

@@AlexCopter33 sorry didnt get you had a chameleon-ti. On my chameleon-ti I fixed my jello adding a good tpu session 5 mount on it (assuming you have new props and a good build) . 👍
