Hello Thank you for the video, the diffuser screen, is the thicker sheet with the rough side down towards the leds. and then the thin plastic sheet on top. I think I may have mine installed the wrong way. I can now see the leds thru the screen. also the black tape on the bottom of the back side. ripped apart how important is that tape layer.

I unhooked the led connection at the back, measuring at the power supply side of the connection its reading in mV(60ish on one, 58ish on the other). Bad power board then? I don't see any visible issues on the board.

Have the same issue with back light, flickers when turned on, sound, can see dim image with a bright flash light close to the screen but I’m also having the problem of the tv turning off after like 30 mins of being on also? Is that a whole new issue or would back lights going out cause that to happen also?? I can live without the image working, I normally just use the tv for music and background noise.

Is it always the LED themselves that are the issue or could it be the power supply for the LEDs? Mine quickly flashes for half a second when I turn it on then the backlights go off. Wouldn't it be possible for the lights to flash if 1 LED was bad?

I have the same model tv with a backlight issue. Black screen. After watching the video I'm not sure I can do all of that without causing any other pro problems. How much would this cost at a normal repair shop or should I just buy another tv.

I would repair it for you for $80 but I am cheap! and do the repair at home. I know of another person who got it done for $150 but they would replace all the LEDS. The key issue is turn your backlight brightness down to 50% to make the backlights last as long as possible.

@@hoth9whitey I was able to speak to a technician but he advised to just buy a brand new one. He quoted the repair over $500 if he will diagnose and repair which makes no sense but to just buy a new.

Have the same issue and same TV. Tested the voltage on both wires going to the backlight cable. Each of them is reading around 58. I know it should be 60, so thinking 1 led is broken per circuit. Is this still enough to shut the whole tv down?

@@NewsonsElectronics how big of a variance is allowed? I tried solder a new LED. Failed. ordered a new power supply board as this one is only putting out .08Vdc. New board installed but still not working. Removed LED and soldered direct bypassing LED. Still no go. Ordered a new LED back light strip kit, waiting on shipping. Learning a lot from your video and been having fun with this repair. Thanks for your time!

@@kalynkoster6715 use led tester to test your leds you don't need to replace them all this will determine if its your powersupply or backlights.

The LED on both ends works correctly but the 3 in the middle are messed up. I will see what happens when I replace the strip. Your video is very informative! I e watched it over a dozen times.

Ok replaced LED strip that had bad LED, still sound and no picture. When I hold a light up to the screen I can see it’s working but no back light. Replaced power supply board and still same issue. Any ideas

Ремонт к сожалению. 1 не снизили ток подсветки, 2 желательно менять комплект полностью. Родные светодиоды диградацию имеют.
