It was difficult to find this solution and worked for me. I spent many hours trying to connect my MacBook Pro and Windows pc without success until installed Logitech Options version 2021-06-14 for WIndows OS. Thank you man

Logitech is going the scumbag way. They force you into using newer Logitech Options+ which requires a subscription to do a custom button assignment. Absolutely insane.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It's always good to be aware of these kinds of changes in the tech world. I haven't tried using the Options+ yet but their website says "The app is free to use!" :|

@@mohossain Specifically the "smart" options require account, the old school basic button reassignment is still available for free. Thank god. Still, I don't understand why we require anything else at all when we purchase a $100 mouse. Whatever functionality they want to add should be included in the price.

100% agree mate. well if no one buys the subscription then they may end up ditching the pricing model and make it free.

New Logitech G705 - not detected by software but mouse works. Using the dongle + usb receiver, but the software+ doesn't seem to find it

i havent used the Options + so cant comment on it. tbh i wont update untill i start having issues with the old version.

I uninstalled options+ because it lead to an app called "t" always interfering with the pc restart or shutdown...

I had the same problem with Windows 11, Logi Options would not start and if I downloaded Logi Option+ it would tell me that the Craft keyboard was not supported. Unfortunately this solution didn't work for me, so I found this other video kzbin.info/www/bejne/iF6TamCjfcSpZpo and even bought him a beer.
