For swimmers, try changing your hand entry. Instead of thumb entering first, turn your hand so that your ring finger enters first. It makes a big difference and is now the preferred hand entry. Watch Olympic swimmers. That is what they do.

Hi Brad, you mentioned swimming, can you talk more about how to prep for and recover from swimming? Like you've done for running? I took up swimming because of my back, but after 3 days, my shoulder is SCREAMING. These have helped, thank you, but I'm just wondering about warm up and cool down that could specifically prevent swimmers shoulder? and how to train (keep swimming) while I rest my shoulder?

When I sleep on my back, I always keep my "hug" pillow on my chest to keep my elbows off the mattress. This position always keeps my arms from going numb.

Im dealing with ankle impingement pain like I cant do explozive activities like full force jumps or 100% sprints what should I do
@OnlyThe1SonАй бұрын
how do we know if its working? is there supposed to be some sort of pain in the stretch? example, get into the position, do the stretch and feel the pain! stretch through that pain , hold that pain for a minute or as long as you can.. stop.. repeat, and after a few days the pain will reduce and eventually the pain will go away.. fight the pain with pain so to speak?
@seeqserenityАй бұрын
I have bilateral busted up rotators with torn labrums, happened 11 yrs ago. I do have intwmittent impingement issues, as well as reduced range of motion,intermittently. Like Brad I am a side sleeper, and I was curious if it is more detrimental for me, (my body has the default position of this), I place a hot watwr bottle underneath my lat, place my arm off of that edge, and have another pillow under my head, and neck. I find I lean/lie a bit forward, instead of back, as Brad showed in the video. I have no interest in surgery, ever, so, I'm interested in any ideas at all. I do most of these stretches, and find resistance training with any weights over 5# will still give me restrictions, after several days. I've tried just to go with my body flow, over the decade +. Age is playing in, of course, I'm now 53.5, and feel the muscle clock "ticking", and want to gain more strength

Is it safe to do these if you get crunching in the shoulder when you start moving it upward?
@BobandBrad2 ай бұрын
As long as it doesn't hurt! If it hurts, we do not suggest you continue. But the body does make crunching noises here and there and as long as they don't hurt, it's okay.

I have already had 5 spinal fusions and the back therapies helped that, too!! I love Bob and Brad, and Mike, and I love the carnivore way of eating!! Chronic pain from fibromyalgia is minimal now! No longer type 2 diabetic, anxiety and depression are gone, and I feel better than I have in over 25 years!! ❤❤

I have the issue where sleeping on my back pulls my shoulder forward and that hurts. If I sleep on my front and place a thin pillow under that shoulder I get immediate relief. What on earth is going on? Couches, car seats, office chairs etc all seem to push my shoulders forward. The pain is constant and has been getting worse for months.

Sorry to hear that. It could be a pinched nerve, but we wouldn't be able to say for sure without a proper examination.
