Wow, having a taste of how you "visualize" a mix and your suggestions of what can be added to add excitement to it is pretty much eye-opening. This is another level of teaching audio mixing. This deserves WAY MORE views. Thank you so very much

This kind of feedback is priceless and contrary to popular belief, getting feedback from the common listener doesn't help all that much. More often than not, they can't tell you whats wrong and even if they can, they won't tell you why it's wrong. Best you'll get from the common listener is "Turn the bass up" and you're like "Gee, thanks for your help" 🤣

My 2 cents coz I've been this guy in the very recent past: To me it sounds like too many presets. Nothing against midi drums and bass but it's quite obvious. Gotta humanize and vary them a little more. I like the song though!

I think anyone that produces music has been guilty of trying to fit too many different elements into a song. One has to remember that the listener doesn't know the process of production and is confronted with all of it at the same time when they listen to the track. Especially in the last part, I feel like the arrangement should have been stripped to fewer elements that don't contradict each other that much in sound, rhythm and vibe. There are multiple vocals, rhythm distorted guitars, strumming guitars, arpeggiated guitars. It's a great song and over-all very well produced but most of the time less is more. Focus on the main element and make them the most interesting and everything else shouldn't distract from it. When you record the 5th guitar or load up the 7th synth, you should reconsider if your main element is not interesting enough.
@jkf9167

The squashed dynamics really don't do this song any favors. I feel like there would be so much more variety in the guitars if the loud parts didn't remain at the same volume for so long.
