I love how truthful you are! Most people that do these are scared to say anything really negative cause they don’t want to offend anyone but people sending in their songs and people watching want to hear the real not sugar coating. It’s funny when I heard it at first I thought it was a good mix and then when you started pointing things out I really started noticing a lot of things wrong with it.

Guys, if you're sitting there and wondering whether it's worth it to get consultations with David, think no further. It is by far the best money you'd have spent in your music production/engineering, hands down. If you follow his guidance and follow what he suggests, you will improve so much, so quickly. These videos are great, of course, but when you do a private consultation you are going over your own mix and you will learn what you're doing right and what you need to work on. Honestly, if you're even a little bit serious about your music, you're short-changing yourself if you don't take advantage of the consultations.

Automation should be on every mix to make it sound outstanding. A few months ago I did mixes with no automation, and now without it, it sounds just boring, with automation you tend to be more accurate with the overall balance and gives you more creativity in doing every change. I hear a low harmony on the “Ahhhs” that makes no harmonic sense to me. He has a nice voice I agree but that is really grating me. I learnt quite a lot from this. You should do a video where you take a song that was mastered too heavily, and you try to remaster it and try to tame the transients and make it more dynamic and less blown out.

Really an exercise in futility to be honest. A bad master is not worth saving, you'd spend the same if not more to try to restore it then just give me the mix to master from scratch. But most important, no matter what you do, a smashed master will always sound below average at best, no matter what we do. As a science experiment sure, but no real use IRL

Yes I was in a found an interesting what you were saying nothing to this mix rap I know it's some people who is a new weird in the new weird situation and do with Angel urn but nevertheless it like you said everything else was well-balanced and in my opinion and in my opinion only they should have balance and work with the vocals in the background little bit more as far as effects cuz I'm not real sure which we could have been added and what and what could have been done but you're right about the fact I agree with you about the focus should have had it more quieter space and it should have been like some of it should have been more compressed in certain areas where I can press. Uhhhhhh.. this first mix has no emotion, the lyrics should have the emotion to promote the seriousness of the song.. I was always told to put my studio voice on .. I took that as make sure people feel what you're singing about . My live voice was more pushing more rushed and lessed focused
