@@dwan8883 I used Flexqos and yes it has helped quite a bit I also stream on twitch\tiktok I have not had any bandwidth issues I also removed the ports and just added my main streaming pc to the IP for the game rules.

Awesome video. You should make another one on Open NAT with multiple xboxs / PCs in one house. Seems impossible with ASUS and Merlin unfortunately.

Only one client can have access to the open ports on the network. It can’t be done. Not even UPNP. Sorry.

@@CuttaChaseBeats I found a simple way to make it work, cod reports both devices as "Open". Manually port forward 3074 for one device and 3075 for the other.

FlexQoS requires ASUSWRT-Merlin version 384.15 or higher. If it is updated then you should be able to install onto your router

For the Gaming Rule, why did you choose to delete the Local IP field? Does leaving that field blank auto apply it universally within the LAN?

I left ip address blank so that i dont need to add gaming rule to every new device that connects to the network.

Hi i habe a question can i still do this and still get good result even though i dont get huge ping spikes.i play some games and my lowest recorded ping is like 49 but somtimes it jumps to 80? Also how do ik what number my port is?

Flexqos would help a lot if you have multiple devices using a lot of bandwidth. And what port number are you looking for?

Thank you for the video. I am using the same router as you. however at times when I am playing PS5 or just watching tv, my kids will complain the they have poor internet connection.. this only happens when I am playing the ps5 or watching tv. Anyway to resolve this ? I did not give priority bandwidth to my ps5 or tv. Everything is as default.. Both my ps5 and tv are directly wired to my router.

Check your qos order. “Others” should be the 2nd. Is the slowdown from gaming, streaming videos, or browsing web?

@@dwan8883 it helped a little bit but I switched to a eero mesh system with 2 eero 6 pros and one eero6+ and that has solved my needs so far Low ping and not lagging that much while extending the range all the way from the office to far away in the shed with built in QOS

Mostly all online games send small UDP packets and this is how it detects game traffic. And yes it will give them highest priority

Type in your router login password and it should sign you in. Should automatically show the username next to the ip

Thanks for the reply, another thing also. The gaming rule I added, no udp packets are going through there. My pc gaming packets looks like it is going through net control packets. Also some phone devices are sending udp packets. Any solutions?

So when I use traditional qos my ping keeps spiking but with bandwidth limiter it doesn’t at the same speeds, so you know why this happens? And what do you recommend I’m like a second behind in games it’s terrible siggh

Traditional qos is very weird to setup. Make sure you have Gear Accelerator off because it messes with it.

You have better luck installing asus merlin firmware and installing flexqos or cakeqos. You can find Gear Accelerator in the Game section on the left side of the menu.
