You really want me to believe that screw had been in water for 35 years, and it came loose that easy? Be, honest you loosened it prior to showing you unscrewing it, right?

Out of curiosity, with those rubber washers being so cheap, why wouldn't you just replace them both? Preventive maintenance, not reactive maintenance. Still a good video because a lot of people wouldn't know what to do in this situation.

You really should have replaced all of the O-Ring gaskets since you had it apart.

Replace the whole unit. Those after market o rings don’t hold up well

Fix or repair? Is there a difference?

Nice job. Most plumbers would sell the customer a whole new hose bib.😀

Thank you for explaining everything. I’m older and alone and can’t afford a plumber for all the little things that need to be done. This was one of them.

Hey thanks for the video, so many people want the spigot replaced instead of maintained. Glad to know how to maintain my/ my neighbor's properties more. Thank you.

Great job explaining...few people know what an easy fix it is, just need the step by step. Well done - I'm not a plumber, but have fixed quite a few!

Nice explanation. I'm about to do this to my outdoor faucets on my 1966 house. The faucets look original and I'm assuming the washers might have been replaced once (can't imagine they lasted 54 years). I'm hoping the new washers will last another 30 years.

You didn't want to just replace that second o-ring? Seems short sighted.
