Nice video. . I have a similar problem with my sony vaio also. . However the screen is working normally and then all of a sudden it just goes blank or freezes.. do you think the ram needs changing or some other issue? When the problem occurs sometimes the screen goes green or white then completely black. .

hey Nawaz. I have a situation where my laptop screen is broken. i connect a vga desktop screen to the laptop. it works only for the windows screen but i cant get into bios. the screen is black for 30seconds then i see windows display. how do i get into the bios with a broken screen.thanks

Hi Decibalsound, as u said it worked with additional monitor so restart or start ur pc and continuously click F2 or Del or F9, or F10 in some model F1 check this keys one by one any one would be key to your bios, additional monitor nothing to do with bios, good luck : ) and plz Subscribe!!!

hi again, its still not working...neither thru vga port it a display comes nor thru cleaning of ram. rather its not working as good as it was before...i mean now i fit the ram back 1 by 1 but the power button LED blinks...even i checked the ram on my other laptop...they're working fine...and i tried to place my working laptop ram on it...but the problem persists. kindly advise.

Hi i tryed your solution but it didnt work for me. I have a little diferent problem through.. Also i have a sony vaio vpcef4e1e, its a big model. When i press the power on button, it only lights green, and the others leds flicker once only, and then nothing happens, and u cant hear nothing. The dvd drive can be opened normaly, and the laptop can be shutdown after olding the power button for about 8-10 sec. What could it be? Is there any solution that i can try at home? My guess is that the gpu needs rebailing or the video card but i dont know.. I hope for an response from you, thx in advance :).

i have the same problem with my sony vaio vpcee21fx,everything comes on and nothing comes up on the screen but it works on a external monitor could that be a board problem? because im getting to many random answers from technicians where im from and really really confused...some say its the gpu some say its a lcd cable some say its the screen...smh :/

Hi acres bro if its working at external monitor then u don't have mother broad or video card problem, you only have display problem, u have to change display or invarter, so dont confused with people take ur notebook to some good PC expert for change display or invertar, wish u all the best!!!

Hi Carlos do as this without bios nothing hold FN+Esc key and hit power button and leave all it for 10 min than close by holding power and start again do few time could be helpful, sorry to say Sony doeskin have system for flash bios and black screen problem, good luck and plz subscribe!!!

Thank you soo much for the info...I was 100% sure that my acer aspire was dead. the last thing I thought it was, was dirty contact points of the ram modules...I cleaned them both with paper towel and walah!!! fired right up
