So I dont know If this will help anyone else but ONLY clickling Disable fullscreen optimizations seems to work and ignore everything else in the video, hope that helps someone

Try launching the game from the game folder, not through steam, for me it worked even tho I deleted M1 folder as the dog from video recommended

If you don't Verify your game files, it won't reinstall the M1 folder. That's why the Verify was AFTER deleting M1

@@atyx3101 Reinstalled the game because of the m1 problem. After That I only disabled fullscreen opti. That's the only thing the game needed to run.

DONT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!... I had to go to the trash bin and recover the M file. And unclick the settings in the compatibility tap portion of the video to get my game to boot again. Still cant hit the start button...😢

I fixed it for myself. This video didn't work, uninstalled the game from both drivers and reinstalled now when i try to open the game it says something about playing the game with augment, M1 steam then quits out. The fix, I went to gforce now and made it so the game wasnt optimized, put it in windowed mode and loaded the game through the local files and not steam.

DO NOT DELETE M1! If you made the mistake and did, go back to browse local files of the game and turn off run as Administrator, otherwise the game will not even launch. In the Recycle bin you can restore M1 but it did not fix the issue for me.

I should’ve read the comments first😭 I did with this guy suggested, and my issue is even worse than before. Now it keeps giving a message about M1 and “the game is already running” I’ve completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times and it’s still giving me those messages. I’m so mad that this guy actually made everything worse and hasn’t responded at all to everyone’s comments about it being wrong. You should delete this and be ashamed you led so many ppl wrong wtf. I want to cry I’m so frustrated. Someone please help

DO NOT DELETE M1 FOLDER! Edit: ( If done, fix is farther below. ) I did every step on the video and cant play the game any more! And so far i couldn't fix the issue. Checked for integrity, reinstalled the game, even went and looked for any folder i had left, deleted even the beta folder for TFD and reinstalled the game twice, completely cleaned everything and reinstalled again, nothing helped. I assume I've to clean my registry first before i can reinstall it properly, because the game wont start even after all ive done, it always says the game is trying to start with other parameter M1 -steam and then wont start, even when i go into the folder and try to start from there or try to use my graphics card software in my case AMD to start the game there. All i get to is a start where it lets me choose language and brightness/contrast and immediately closes again right after. So my next attempt will be to look for the registry folder and see if i can fix the issue there, if any one has a potential fix please comment. I will also report this video and if i cant find a solution try to contact the support. I will Edit this comment if i fix the problem. //Edit: I fixed the problem by deleting every registry about the game and reinstalling it. 1. uninstall the game in steam. 2. search for remnants of the game in your drive and uninstall what ever is left. (you can use the search function, just look for the first descendant). 3. restart your system. 4. run regedit and use the search function edit->search, look again for the first descendant, delete what ever you can find, go back to search again and redo this until you cant find anything with the first descendant, ive deleted every single registry entry for the game. 5. restart your system and now install the game again, it should run now. If you've any issue again with the game, don't come back to this youtube acc. also for some people just turning off fullscreen optimization seems to have helped.

I did all of this and I still get that message about M1 steam😭😭😭 I completely deleted everything. The entire computer and deleted everything restarted the computer and I’m still getting this message.

@@toniaviles3851 I think its a administration issue, try to start steam as administrator but the game not with administrator check mark. Than start the game with steam, and if it doesnt start, just retryl a few times. As long as you dont get the M1 message it should be fine. I got to the point with this where i just have to retry starting the game a few times, it seems to still have an shader issue or driver issue and wont start immediately but i dont get the M1 steam message any more.

Also Leute hatte nun das gleiche Problem und nachdem ich den M1 Ordner gelöscht habe ist es nur schlimmer geworden. Allerdings habe ich dann The First Descendant Deinstalliert und eine kurze Suche durchgeführt ob noch Datein vorhandne sind die ich löschen kann. Habe dann den Domputer neugestartet noch eine Suche sicherheitshalber abgeschlossen und dann das Spiel wieder Installiert. Navchdem ich das Spiel wieder installiert habe bin ich mit Rechtsklick in der Bibliothek von Steam auf das Spiel gegangen und habe mir die lokalen Daten anzeigen lassen. Dann wieder mit Rechtsklick auf das Spiel in den lokalen Datein und habe mir die Eigenschaften anzeigen lassen. Dort habe ich dann bei Berechtigungen den haken entfernt bei als Administrator ausführen ( Ich weiß aber nicht ob das ein muss ist doer ob das unnötig war ) Danach habe ich wieder alles geschlossen und in der Steam bibliothek das Spiel gestartet und es läuft seitdem wieder einwnadfrei. Unsupported file system error poped up after the game crashed and now its trying to re-install even while the files are still there , the integrity doesnt seem to show any issues but yet it still tries to download and fails immediately

To fix the M1 file, remove every TFD in the firewall and add it back again. Verify your files after just to be sure. This guy in the video is just shit he just made it worse🙄😒
