You're welcome! Glad this video could help you with those unknown devices. Have you ever had to track down a driver for something really obscure?

That's fantastic! Updating drivers can make a big difference in performance. Did you notice any improvements after updating yours?
@FlyboyHelosim9 ай бұрын
It's one thing to install a barebones driver to satisfy Device Manager, but a lot of the time you need the proper accompanying program from the OEM to go with it to be able to configure and actually use the component.
@adventuresinnostalgia9 ай бұрын
That's a great point! You're absolutely right that sometimes just the driver isn't enough. Have you had any experiences where the lack of the OEM program caused specific issues? Knowing more about these situations would be helpful for viewers.

The SUBSYS portion is usually OEM-specific and is typically redundant unless there only exist proprietary drivers for that particular device
@adventuresinnostalgia8 ай бұрын
You mean the longest of the strings isn't needed, you can find the driver's with the shortened stings without the SUBSYS part?
@damian93038 ай бұрын
@@adventuresinnostalgia For the most part, though it might be a good courtesy to glance inside the driver's INF to see if there are entries with the SUBSYS present just to be sure. Usually, if you're downloading a generic driver right from the manufacturer, oftentimes it might not (which can be quite useful if you're trying to downgrade to an older Windows unsupported by the OEM vendor). The only exception, from past experience, seems to be with nVidia drivers on mobile laptops dating back to the late 2000s although there are the LaptopVideo2Go forums which usually provide a comprehensive list of supported cards for any given driver release.

Dude i need some help, how can i emulate Mac OS X 10.3 but with internet connection and the PowerPC version of Mac OS
@adventuresinnostalgia9 ай бұрын
While this video focuses on finding drivers in Windows, emulating Mac OS is a different process. Are you looking to emulate Mac OS X 10.3 for a specific reason? Having that info might help narrow down some solutions. There are emulators available for Mac OS, but some may not support internet connection or the PowerPC version. Searching online for '[PowerPC emulator Mac OS X 10.3 with internet]' might give you some leads.

Will windows 10 drivers work on windows7?😮
@florzyy_9 ай бұрын
Some do but some don’t. For me the Windows 10 Realtek audio driver works in Windows 7 perfectly fine.
@adventuresinnostalgia9 ай бұрын
That's a great question! Windows 10 drivers usually aren't compatible with Windows 7. But in some cases, there might be tricks to get them to work. Have you tried searching for drivers specifically made for Windows 7 on the manufacturer's website?
@NishuSparda9 ай бұрын
Yea... My device was specifically made only for windows 10, I use Lenovo IdeaPad L340, it can upgrade to windows 11
@NishuSparda9 ай бұрын
@@adventuresinnostalgia if you're asking for my device specifically, then there's the basic generic drivers I guess, atleast that's what Rufus says. I have tried installing windows 7, but it doesn't wanna install... Maybe I'm doing something wrong but welp, I tried installing 8.1 too and that worked, instead some drivers weren't, like audio, graphics and WiFi drivers

@@adventuresinnostalgia So I was just not able to find the drivers for my graphics card, cus I didn't know what it is (it's an ATI xpress 200) and the I had some trouble finding the same drivers for windows 7. But it's already fixed now and I don't have to look at a black screen for 2 minutes before I can log in ;)
