• Delete Yahoo account from Windows mail app
• Open Yahoo email in a browser and generate app password
• Now add yahoo to mail app and use app password to login.

Must the Yahoo account in the web browser be kept open and still signed in to the Yahoo account WHILE performing this whole operation with the Mail app? Also currently two years after you made this video, Yahoo will not generate an app password, like, 'unavailable at this time' or something.

Yes, great instruction. Unfortunately it doesn't work with my Window Mobile Telefon. I am able to generate the passwort on my pc (not on my mobile Telephone), but then when I write it in my mobile telefon as described, it doesn't work. No syncronisation of emails ... Two weeks ago, everything was working fine untill I had to reset my mobile telefon. May be you would kindly be able to help me. Thank you

Aarohan TechSol, thank you for your guidance video, it worked, but one thing to mention, before, I use to link my yahoo account easily to mail and calendar windows 10 with no error message, or third party revocation, wonder why are we directed, that sudden, to use this method you recommended, appreciate your response. Ah, one more thing, after linking one of my yahoo accounts the way you mentioned, I linked my other yahoo account normally, like I use to do, without logging to it and creating this third party extra password, does this make sense pal.

AarohanTechSol: what if i decide o clean out my PC computer like Reinstall windows 10, will i Have to Use The Generate App Password again? that Password you copy-paste that's not my default main password right? This just happens today with yahoo first time even with yahoo, use to always happen only with Outlook. well hopefully it works for me, i deleted the account and even changed the password, in chrome browser, and went back in windows 10 mail reactivated the yahoo account and worked but got the same error, but now i will try ur way'll update this in few days see if all went well Thank you.

Hi, my Yahoo account doesn't have anything under "account security" except the words "How you sign in" (not clickable/link). It is an old "SBCglobal.net" address from before Yahoo bought SBC, but it is considered a Yahoo address, eg I can login from Yahoo mail. What's even more frustrating is that I know I went through this process on my old laptop (getting the 0x9019019a error) & was eventually able to fix it & add the account to the windows mail app - BUT I can't remember how. Also, I get the error message before it adds the address, so I can't/don't need to go through the step of deleting that account. I've also tried adding it as an "other" account - it adds it but then throws up an alert icon saying that the account "needs attention". I'm 100% sure that I'm entering the password correctly, and I'm logged into my SBC account on Edge. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions, thanks so much!

@@chelihunt9081 no, unfortunately I haven't - frustrating since I went through this with my last laptop but can't remember how I solved it. Fwiw tho, I'm phasing out that email account because tech support (at Amazon) told me that the email account was probably why my credit card, PayPal, Amazon & other $-related accounts have been hacked over the past few years - because the security on the email is so poor, hackers were able to get into the accounts that I had associated with that address (even as a secondary address). So I switched all my $-linked accounts to my Gmail address & (knock wood!) haven't had an issue since. So I'm just phasing out the sbcglobal.net account entirely. Good luck, sorry I couldn't be more help.
