Started my jj journey this year at 60 years old and I am already experiencing issues with injuries and small nags here and there. I started to work on my flexibility at home and despite being a very active and sporty person I am in shock on how stiff I have become. Then I discovered your channel which is fantastic, and now I am not so sure about going back to train jj ever again. I am torn both physically and emotionally because it's such a fun thing to do yet so hard on the body...

Great podcast. I know you recorded this over a year ago and hopefully you read my comment. I used to be a gym rat then got married and had kids. That significantly decreased my gym time. Then when my oldest turned 5 I started him in judo. I had judo experience 30 years prior and had numerous knee surgeries due to this. So I watched for a couple of months and my son's teacher asked me to get on the mat...and the itch came back. So I've been doing judo again for over a year now at 50 years old. So I do have injuries that have reoccured. Even though I am a physical therapist with 2 decades of experience...I have to tell people "do what I say, not what I do." LOL After that brief history my questions are 1. Finding the time to perform the necessary strength, flexibility and mobility training. I've quit my gym due to lack of time and family obligations. Plus I only due judo once per week bc of time, soreness from training and a sense of fear of injuries. I already wake up at 5 am certain days just to perform a 10 to 15 minute circuit workout just to get something going. How do you guys organize your time? Thanks. Keep up the good work.
