They keep talking about sky viewing card needed to be paired but I can't see a viewing card

The viewing card is located at the front of the box in the bottom right-hand corner - on some boxes it's exposed, however on others it's behind a plastic cover/flap which can be pulled down.

No, Sky Q customers do not own their equipment. If they wish to end their services they are asked to return the Sky Q boxes.
