Fixed Jeep Cherokee water on passenger floorboard

1993 Jeep Cherokee water leaking onto the passenger side of the floorboard. It ended up being the Radio Antenna Cable Plug. Before taking panel off the inside you can check in the tire well first to see if the plug is out. This fixed it. No more leaking and a small pond on our floorboard. LOL

I found the same on mine, it's the antenna cable. Some also had air conditioner drain that goes through the floor board, mine goes through the firewall but they never plugged the never used firewall hole. Good job brother

It's called a grommet. Thanks for sharing the location of this PITA. Sadly, my antenna wire grommet is in place. Still searching for this elusive water feature.

Think this is my issue... Need to investigate a bit more but I removed that interior trim piece and the radio antenna was wet... Can't imagine it's something else with the antenna itself being wet. Thanks for the video. Will prob dive into this tomorrow.

I also had water puddling up in my passenger floorboard. I watched your video, went out and pulled that panel off, and that rubber plug was hanging out. I used clear silicon on the outside and jb weld around the inside of the plug. Hopefully that will fix it. Thanks for the video.

I have a 98 that does this. Thought I had it fixed, like pointed out, via the vent at hood. But alas, no. After an extremely heavy rain the last few days, I've got 3" of water puddled in the floorboard. I'm going to try this and see if it works. Thanks for the tip.

Look next to that plug onder the door tap bracket is a open hole. check ok my jeep if you put you finger there you touch the wire inside i thinking the lick come from there look like is missing the plug to cover that hole

Thank you! Found the same in my '88. Has anyone found the replacement plug? Would like to replace it and caulk.

Please cross your fingers this solves the wet stinky floorboard in my 93 Chevy G30 Coachmen RV! UPDATE - Darn! No such opening in my van. Back to the drawing board!
