I pushed the talk button and heard a large pop....and then, no volume of any kind. I found your video and immediately pulled fuse 28 and replaced it back and it fixed the issue. Thank You very much.

2021 150 hybrid is in a little bit of a different area. Right above a 15 and 10. The fuses are numbered in the panel. It is number 28. This fixed my problem. Thank you

Not that it matters now but everything is harder one handed. Especially when you leave floor mats installed. I’m surprised there was no fuse puller in the glove box wit some spares. My issue is the stereo being stuck in “prompt volume “ and I can’t adjust music volume.

I had this problem with my volume control and this fixed it. I ended up just pulling the fuse out and putting it back in. It was not popped.

I see a lot of people commenting about popping noises. I've never experienced that but just the audio going completely out. Like you were saying no volume whatsoever. I could see that the music was playing but there was no sound. I'm going to try this I hope it works thanks for the help

So I tried this tonight and mine is still not working. 😮 pulled the sync and radio fuses as well. All buttons work but my audio button does not. My radio won’t come on. I can pair my phone- but no sound to talk or play my music. Any ideas??

Still helping people two years later.... Thank you - saved me a trip this morning. Took 5 minutes. Luckily I had a fuse puller, which is now staying in the truck. Last night experienced a loud series of pops/crackles before going silent. Tried 3 resets from the steering controls, switching sources, etc., and figured I'd be having to spend time getting it looked at. One youtube search and five minutes later - all good.

I have Sound, but for being a premium sound edition it sounds really bad. No bass at all. My buddies Silverado with the stock stereo sounds 10 times better is there a reason why it doesn’t sound good at all never cut out just horrible sound

2021 F150 Powerboost here. No audio from none of the sources, Bluetooth included. I unplugged all three connectors to the Amp behind the rear seat and reset Sync by holding radio pwr button and "next" station button simultaneously for 10 seconds. Fixed my issue, after trying everything else I've researched. Thank you to everyone posting videos and sharing their experiences.

Worked great on my brother's 2021 Ford Mustang that lost audio after a service check at Ford dealership. I am guessing they pulled battery connection when doing a check on battery, and this "un-controlled" power down got the audio amp module in a bad state that required this reset technique.

Push in and hold the power button and seek right button at the same time and it will do a soft resest of the infotainment system. That’s all that helped me. F350 23.

Thank you. I had a 2009 that I had to pull the fuse to reset the system. So I knew when the BCM fuse box is. Just had the sound go dead on me today. Reset SYNC system, with the dash board reboot. Then pulled the SYNC fuse and the Audio Control module fuse. Nothing. I missed the amplifier fuse until I saw your video. That fixed it. Thanks.

Got a 2023 powerboost, same issue, the fuse fix did not work, only temporary fix is turn off truck for 10 minutes, then turn back on. Fixes it temporary, then issues comes back, anyone find a more permanent fix? Surely? Here's my example video I uploaded. kzbin.infoZcFgFMna4JU?feature=share

Wondering if this will fix my low volume issue on my 2020 Raptor. It's clearly the amp putting out low power or something. I have to have call volume at 30 while driving and Volume 22 or higher to get any decent sound

Nope. Ford fucked us. You have to spend hundreds on a part to bypass the amp, then on top of that you have to buy another amp, wiring and speakers. Well over $1000.

@Jon E actually I never updated this comment. Ford fixed my amp with a firmware flash and DSP reset. Basically the amp is in protect mode and only puts out about 20% power. Now that that fixed it, it's completely transformed and sounds incredible. Bass from sub is great as well as doors along with full dynamic range. A simple few steps with no new hardware needed...glad I took the time and dug into this and fixed my issue perfectly

Where the battery ground cable? I disconnected the battery under the hood. Car still has power via the powerboost battery. So which ground cable did you disconnect?

@@irishpride1186 There is actually 3 batteries - a third battery is under the rear seat passenger side - regardless- removing the under hood 12v from the circuit worked for me - talk to your Ford service manager as you may have something else going on that a reboot will not fix

I had this problem on my 2017 F250. I pulled both fuse 28 & 29 (my manual shows different fuses depending on which sound system yo have. I had a 20A in the 10 speaker #28 location & a 30A in the 14 speaker #29 location. It didn't fix the problem. After doing a radio soft reset and SYNC update, which also did not do anything I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and that ended up resetting whatever was causing the issue and now the radio has volume. My next thought was going to be disconnecting and reseating the connectors at the AMP under the back seat. Hope this helps someone else if they ran into the same roadblock as me. Rock ON America!

We actually found this info on a message board about older trucks. Maybe 2017's, or maybe earlier. So it seems like it's common across a number of model years (and generations).

thank you! Thank You! I tried replacing fuse 29 which is called Sound System. That didn't do it. I did what you suggested and it worked great! I now own about $25.00 worth of fuses. Not that I'll ever use them. I also love my F150 power boost. It pulls my 26' trailer and my boat fine.

@@danielmayton2194 never did! We had the problem come up 3 times in our PowerBoost, but it has never happened in our 3.0 PowerStroke. Just one of those things!!!
