FIXED: Low memory warning. RAM use has been extended for previews | After Effects 2023

Fixed! After auto updating your After Effects to 2023, if you are seeing - “Low memory warning. RAM use has been extended for previews” error for more often then, I have a solution for you. In this video we will talk many possible solutions. The last solution really worked for me, which was downgrading the app. So, watch this video till the end. It will help to save several days of work if you are facing this issue!

I have 58 Gb installed on After effects STILL getting memory issues and the playhead NOT moving forward repeating the 5 same frames. After Effects and Adobe in general are a complete joke. Tired of Adobe coder's lazy work.

Wow! I thought I was stuck in The Twilight Zone! I had the same error message happen when previewing my After Effects project. Once I watched your tutorial reduce ram size cache and Quarter preview the frame rate size. Then, I saved the project, closed After Effects and reopened the project to preview it. No more error message of having low memory in After Effects. Yes! You are a life saver!!!! Thank you!!!!

Something that worked for me was closing out of Chrome/Safari. It fixed the problem immediately!

Yes, no matter how much RAM and cache space, the issue persists and I had to downgrade. It is so inconvenient though, I now have to open each project and downgrade because the projects made in the newer version wouldn't open at the previous version...Adobe should really try and solve all the bugs before it publishes the new versions...

Thanks for the video, but I had already done all those attempts to solve that bug (even downgrading) and nothing worked for me. I'm a programmer and have no clue about what is going on with AE (and neither do the programmers at Adobe)

Try closing other running applications that are heavy load for the RAM, like photoshop/illustrator/or any. Then check again in after effects, problem solved...

I was on version 2022 but had the same issue and went down to 2021. 2022 is faster in opening the program so would;d like to stick to 2022. Do you perhaps have any other advice to stay on 2022?

After applying effects on any layer after effects stops working (After effects not responding). Even after downgrading I am facing the same issue.(Is it because project is too heavy?) Is there any solution to this problem?

Downgrading will only help if that issue is causing because of the bug they are having in their 2023 release. If not then I think you will probably need to upgrade your RAM

I am getting this fvcking error, and there is no fix, I have 2 2tB Samsung evo pro 980 and has like 200gb data each, so i have more than 1.3tb of data available approximately, I have12800h i7, 64gb ram and rtx3080ti, and somehow adobe premiere pro and after effects keeps crashing, I have downgrade and upgrade my graphics driver, between Studio and Gaming drivers. I have used Adobe products for more than 15 years now but Premiere pro 2018- 2022 are the shittiest software ever made, this happens coz Adobe now is accepting cheap developer from india ruining the quality. Its probably about time to learn davinci Resolve and suck it up, even though I am so accustomed with Adobe products, I spent halft of my day finding solutions instead of working on the project. So Disappointing.

Nothing works for me this program is a just garbage. It uses 100gb of ram when idling. Mate i pay for the latest version, downgrading is ... Next for the smarty pants mult rendering is off cache when idling is off. 100gb and i previewed just a single audio file with nothing else. Also no 3rd party plug-ins for anyone wondering 😅 but there isn't a nice enough alternate to this shit
