Have the same issue. During diagnosis was able to put some heat on the PCB with a hot air station and the thing fired right up. Debating to use SMD caps or radial caps to repair it. Your repair looks good enough for me.

Great run down, thank you! My parent’s Bose has had the same issue, same leaky appearance under the smd caps. Looking for the best deal on the replacement caps now, sure will be a small order so not cheap!

I’m having this issue and Bose tells me they can’t fix it but wants me to trade it back to them for something I have no interest in. Who can fix mine is what I want to know?

Good video thanks. One question, why did you not desolder the caps from the underside of the pcb with a desolder sucker?

The caps on the Bose was surface mount.
