Nice work man! I will attempt to restore the Evinrude version sometime soon. Any tips besides those in the videos (Part 1and 1)?

He is Guessing on where is water coming in issue is. Because the first thing you so with a lower unit. Is drain the oil. put it up in a vise. Then you use a pressure tester. Pump up the the pressure. Then spray with soapy water. On each seal. An find the one leaking. An it will either be the prop shaft seal. Or the seal under the water pump. More than Likely. Those are the two shafts that do all the real moving. An there for get the Most wear. An you can get the seals from Motion Ind. An all so the Bearings for lower unit Gears. With out having to Buy the set. An save you money.

Man, nice job. Ironic though, I just bought the exact same motor 2 days ago. Glad you did a pressure test on the lower unit. You did alot of work on that motor. Not to be picky but while you were in there you should have installed a new thermostat...lol. Ill let you know how that bad boy runs WOT once I get it installed on my boat. Oh, blew my carrier bearing on the driveshaft on the way home. Would you be interested in selling the steering setup off that lowe boat that came with the motor?
